Whats the most you have won on the lottery?

Biggest win was on the Euromillions, got 4 numbers (or 3 numbers + a star, I forget) a few months ago, only got me about £18 though.

I ran a work syndicate for 2 years, 16 lines a week and we won about £40 in total. :(

The most I ever won personally is £54 for 4 numbers. At work 10 of us do a £2 per week syndicate & when we won £104 arguments ensued, you'd think we'd won millions the way people were carrying on! We have a contract drawn up now.

What was there to argue about? Divide button broken on the calculator?

my thoughts exactly :p

Ahh the innocence!

Most of us were happy to simply put the winnings onto lucky dips for the following draw but a few people wanted a 10-way split. My argument was I didnt mess about getting money from people & buying tickets every week for a measley £10.40 so I stood my ground & as the person who arranged the syndicate I insisted we just chucked the lot back on the next draw & then agree something acceptable for future draws. I got a bit of flak: "You have no right to do that it's MY MONEY" was the best response, couldn't help but laugh.

So anyway we bought 104 tickets for the following week & won £84. Stuck that back on the next week & won...... £0! We have a simple contract now conisting of about 5 lines which everyone has signed, apart from a few people who simply would not compromise, so they are out. The lesson I learned is no matter how low the chances of winning are it's wise to make some provision for possibly hitting the big money.

We have won sod all since.

Ah, that makes more sense.
A contract in these situations is always a good idea - things are way to complicated in situations like these without them.

Yes definitely, tbh I was rather naive when I started it. Thinking of doing away with the syndicate altogether, the £2 per week isn't missed but checking a large number of tickets every week & hardly ever winning anything does highlight how little chance of winning there actually is, more so than simply looking at the odds as a figure.

£110 on a scratch card one day, don't even know why I bought one, had bought about 3 when I first turned 16 and was dying to get ID'd for one :D then about 6 years later decided to get one and won £110 :) paid for a nice meal for me and the fella.

Signed up for lottery tickets on direct debit about 4 weeks ago and have won a tenner twice already - the email that proclaims, "Exciting news about your lottery ticket!" really gets your hopes up till you sign into your account and find out that it's only a tenner - which you knew it would be all along anyway :(

A fair few tenners on te lotto, a few fivers and smaller on TB.

Best wins were £48 on the lotto and £50 on an online Monopoly scratch card.

Still waiting for the biggy.................

Won about £80 on four numbers once.

I do know someone who won ~£5,000,000 in the early days of the lottery.
He's an arrogant nob now though so I have very little to do with him thesedays, just see him a few times a year when I go out with a particular group of friends.

I don't buy tickets very often tbh. Only once in a blue moon, usually for the larger draws, mega rollovers etc.
