Ahh the innocence!
Most of us were happy to simply put the winnings onto lucky dips for the following draw but a few people wanted a 10-way split. My argument was I didnt mess about getting money from people & buying tickets every week for a measley £10.40 so I stood my ground & as the person who arranged the syndicate I insisted we just chucked the lot back on the next draw & then agree something acceptable for future draws. I got a bit of flak: "You have no right to do that it's MY MONEY" was the best response, couldn't help but laugh.
So anyway we bought 104 tickets for the following week & won £84. Stuck that back on the next week & won...... £0! We have a simple contract now conisting of about 5 lines which everyone has signed, apart from a few people who simply would not compromise, so they are out. The lesson I learned is no matter how low the chances of winning are it's wise to make some provision for possibly hitting the big money.
We have won sod all since.
