What's the oldest component in your rig?

Damn! Had the same PSU as you got and mine died within the month, got a refund though :)

BTW, don't want to worry you but my Jeantech started ticking also and this was around 2 weeks before it died.

LOL no way I emailed jeantech to ask them about it and they were like 'how strange' basically playing dumb but come off it thats two of us by chance I bet loads were faulty units  !!! I reckon u should have turned urs upside down too, it would have lived silently forever then ;) , I mean I have had like 4 builds since I got mine :D LOL

One of my WD 200GB hard drives, at the ripe old age of 2 (i think), followed by my TT Tsunami Dream case, DVD drive and floppy drive, at 18 months old. The case is going upstairs to house my daughter's pc when my MountainMods U2-UFO finally turns up from America.

For me it's got to be my DVD-ROM, 4 years and still going strong although the loading tray could really do with a clean :p

Mine would be my 3 Year old Sound Blaster Live. Had it in my dell and to save money also put it in my latest Pc, Kinda back fired as it has now passed its day and now use the on-board sound card until i get the Audigy 7.1
.

Audigy soundcard. About four years old I think, as are the Creative 5.1 speakers I'm using. Don't think there's anything else in there older than two years.

Do you still have that card?

I got a 4 channel job, the platinum, also a 5,1 Digital... Both have died. I also got a Value too, which is ok...

Anyway, the other day, I was unsure as to which one was ok, and which were dead, and I was 99% sure the value was the ok one, so I tried the platinum and it was fine??? - I tried the 5.1 Digital and the Value and guess what? They are all workign just fine?

If oyu thinkits dead and have still got it, give it another shot? - try it in a different slot to what you had it in! - Mine are back in systems now and are running just fine as I said... Even when I htought that they died?

What you got to lose ( Apart from them really being dead and taking out your Mobo when you try them eh? )

LOL thanks for letting me know that urs is good I still may buy another psu from jeantech in the future afterall.

Even though I had about three of 4 chances to get rid of it with system wide upgrades I always decieded to keep it, kinda got attached it it in the end, I always hear about people's psu's blowing up or causing restarts ect and I cant help but think its gave me no trouble at all apart from the initial clicking lol

I think I will prob keep it untill it either dies (nnnnnnoooooooooo) or I genuinely need more power :( (and even then I will ensure it goes in a good home replacing one of my other pc's cheapo-comes with case power supply's :p )

panasonic 101 ? DVD drive

the frontloading slot one. I bought that when I did my first build which was a T-bird 850 @ 1gig with a FOP32 HSF with the original delta screamer fan :)

That DVD drive has seen no less than 6 different rigs and has never let me down !

Im currently using one of the first graphics cards I ever owned, a 1mb pci Diamond card

Kinda amazing it plays movies fine, Im not sure it did that 13 years ago or whenever I bought this baby for 70 quid.
Ive no idea why it cost so much at the time but its cool I can still get some worth from it :)

Can anyone top that? This is a conroe rig, a proper system

my case, hard drive, a pair of samsung optical drives and a 600w enermax noisetaker psu are all over 2 years old
