What's the worst food mistake you've made?

putting smoke mackerel into a stirfry.

Worst food mistake i've actually ever made was ordering dominoes pizza, the next morning i spent 3 hours on the toilet in the most intense pain of my life. Then spent the next 2 days in on-off pain as my stomach settled.

Never EVER eating dominos pizza again.

dominoes are good,

mistake i made one, was ordering the meltdown revenge pizza, gorgeous but very hot

Not mine but I remember back in school we were making cookies for cookery class and once we'd all done and washed up the equipment we were allowed to eat.

Everyone tucked into their own, very tasty they were indeed. I checked over to this guy who had taken one bite and his face was scrunched up in disgust. His looked decent and so I asked him what was wrong. Lets just say the whitish grains in his clear bag wasn't sugar...

That's what you get for not labelling your see through bag or finger dipping before adding to your mix :)

When I was younger (think I was about 5 or 6) me and my brother saw my mum make porridge. So the next morning my mum was still in bed and we wanted some breakfast so thought PORIDGE! So I know that you need milk and something that was white in colour (or it did look white at this age). Obviously I didn't use porridge oats but flour as this was the first thing I saw.

Threw it in the microwave and hey presto. I had make bricks that you could build a house with. Had to throw the bowl away as the content was 'welded' to it.

Fun times

Picked up the milk carton, proceeded to take a big gulp...

...it was goat's milk :(

I admit I am lost with this one.

The worste thing I ever made was probbaly a jaffa cake sandwhich

Ate all the chocolate/base from a packet of jaffa cakes leaving me with only the jaffa parts whihc i then tossed onto some freshly buttered brown bread and added some brown sauce (I can't eat anythig without it tbh)
I managed to eat it all but it wasnt that great.... better than the cheesecake I covered in currysauce tbh

I do like to try new and random things at times :P

There's trying new things, by using logic and then there's being weird.

Also brown sauce on sandwiches/everything eek. Maybe you should have gone on that fussy eaters programmes where poeple could only eat one type of food for everything.

surely you rang up told them let them check the remainder of the pizza and enjoyed the numerous free pizzas you won in the out of court settlement?

Boiled rice and mushroom soup, i thought it would make a nice risotto type thing. Looked like a plate of vomit. Couldn't eat it

Made a blue cheese sauce, put too much blue cheese in it and it set solid, was like concrete.

Never really had many mistakes with food in terms of flavouring and taste, but some other things...

I once decided to make Spaghetti Bolognese for my dad as it's his favourite, I was about 9 and I tried really hard, made it, he sat down, took a bite, said it was disgusting and over cooked and threw it away :(

Had one of those Milkshakes that you get from those places where they add anything in it like cereals and sweets etc. I had strawberry laces, needless to say a few hours later I was ******** my guts out, horrid.

Also had tuna + pasta that had gone off for breakfast, once again sitting on the toilet screaming to the heavens.

And at school in food tech, I had made muffins but I put a filling of Tabasco sauce in the inside, made about 20 of them and gleefully sent them out to teachers and various other people that I disliked :D
