What's wrong with me?

I had to drive to Birmingham yesterday and, feeling crap, I took my father's Passat instead of the Elise as I wanted some comfort.

I enjoyed it

It was nice driving a quiet, comfortable car with some torque again.

What's next? A pipe and slippers? A 5 series?

You know you need a 540i sport. Down most roads it'd be quicker than an elise, and it cruises along the motorway in silence when you want it to with the engine barely ticking over to maintain 70mph.

It'd have to be an E60 and they're still quite expensive.

Not that I'm considering changing my toy car for a barge, of course.

I'm taking the Elise back home (to Hethel) tomorrow morning for a factory tour, that should bring me to me senses

I appreciate how "comfy" the 106 is, it's nice going work in that. Now that has to say something about the quality of my gmax suspension. Hearing that V6 on a 6 branch manifold gets me back on board tho!

I tried the comfort thing and swapped my Quicksilver exhaust back to standard. That was a month ago and tonight I swapped back, got very bored with no noise.

The drive to work tomorrow is gonna be much more fun, believe me
