Whats wrong with my computer?

Hi. I am having problems with my computer recently. When I load a game the sound is completely messed up, and the game freezes. The sound is also messed up when just on the games menu. After the game has frozen and I manage to close it, the internet doesn't work until I restart the computer :confused:

What's wrong with it? I'm thinking the sound card but could it be something else?

Unstable overclock? When mine wasn't stable the internet and USB's would stop working, could also explain the freezes.

Possibly north bridge issues?

I have been running the overclock fine since June though. The temperatures are normal so I dont think its that. The sound card is quite old though, I think I got it May 2006 so it could be that I hope.

I take it you have tried updating drivers? A couple of years ago I had sound problem with Bioshock, but new drivers solved it.

I am on the latest drivers

. The problem has only started happening today which makes me think something is dying.

Try turning the overclock down or off and see if that changes things.
