Mine has to be Final Fantasy 7, me and my grandad must have completed it over 15 times between us and hes currently doing it again as will i when the pc version comes through the post tuesday :)
Its definetly the best final fantasy ive completed them all so many times:
Final fantasy 7 finished about 5-6 times.
Final Fantasy 8 about 4 times
final fantasy 9 about 4 times
final fantasy 10 only once

Its just a great game from start to finish.

So whats your best game of all time?

FFVII Without no dubt. I started playing it again last week. I have already chalked up anout 25 hours on it and got my Mrs to start her own game which I think has 3-6 hours on it. Which I sat by her and helped her out.

Cloud is currently on level 34 has all his limit breaks (bar omnislash) I have just left cosmo canyon. I have defeated the midgar zolom

This time round I am trying to get Aeris to learn her final limit break but the *&^%$ wont learn her first level 3 limit break.

You know how some people have a favorite book that they read every year or 2 and always go back to it. I think this is the same for me with FFVII.

That's always annoying :/

You've pretty much summed up perfectly how I feel about FFVII there.

Fantastic game and definitely my favourite :) Although when it comes to the number 2 slot it'd be a lot harder to decide.

Single Player:- Baldurs Gate II, Played through this several times with different Parties

MutiPlayer:- Age of Empires II or Half Life. Many sleepless nights at Uni due to these games

I have been thinking about this all night as i didn't want to be casual about my selection.
Like all i remember old games fondly. Sensi soccer, Populous, Rfactor, Goldeneye and the shed load i have forgot all spring to mind.
After serious consideration though i formally name Battlefield 2 as my All time favourite game.
640 hours logged is serious value for money and proof that even after say 500 hours gameplay i am still not bored of it.
Reasons.
The size of the maps. Awesome.
Different classes/jobs in game.
Machinery. Choppers Jets tanks AA AV jeeps Buggys. Woohoooo
Medal and Award structure. Recognition for the time you put in and rewards that feel good getting.
Spec forces add on. Adds to the game totally changing the atmosphere. Definetly a different version of BF2.
The community is Massive. Loads of games at any time to sort all.
Yes without a doubt imho BF2 is the best game released to date and my all time favourite.

tbh the game i spend most time on was Super EF2000. the game based in the new fighter jet. eurofighter.

that was out years ago... and was solid. had to bomb loads of russian targets in scandinavia

I used to ALWAYS say Deus Ex automatically in these threads, but for the first time I think I'm going to change my pick to Chrono Trigger, purely for the fact that I've played both again recently, and DX just didn't really compel to finish it, whereas CT had the same old magic that made me play it all the way to the end yet again. :)

Stick her in the front ranks, equip her with poor armour and 'Cover' materia, give her a Hyper and don't attack enemies with anyone but Aeris, or try and make sure that she finishes them off. You can do this with either a physical attack or magic, but:

1) Kills made with Odin's Steel Cutting Sword attack do NOT count.
2) Kills made by residual poison damage, i.e. the damage taken each round, not the damage caused by the initial casting, don't count.
3) Kills made by enemies you have manipulated don't count.
4) Kills made with Death Sentence don't count.
5) Kills made with the Death spell count.
6) Kills made with Flash command count.

Using a Magic & All combo is an easy way to do it.

To gain the second half of a Level's limit break (e.g, Cloud's Cross-Slash), you need to use the first half limit (Braver in this case) a certain number of times (8, as it happens). To move up to the next level of Limit breaks, you must finish off a certain number of enemies with that particular character.

Oh, and my fav game is; errrr, you guessed it.
