I know this is sacrilege in this forum as it is full of fantastic meals cooked from scratch. However, there are occasions when there just isn't time. So when it's one of those occasions, what's your favourite ready meal?

After thinking about it I would say my favourite ready meal is from Marks'. It is chicken, stuffing, mini sausages and potatoes all served in a giant yorkshire.

In the oven for 20 minutes, Normally top with some fresh gravy. Really, really nice. Think it's about £3.

Pretty much any Chicken Tikka Masala. I prefer the ones that don't come with rice, as I can then justify having it with naan bread :D

Ready meals are pretty awful most of the time, but it's hard to get something as simple and as popular as Tikka Masala wrong :p

:edit: Most curries work for me actually!

Tesco finest pasta with crab meat. Most delicious ready meal ever, although prepare to open many windows as your house will STINK of fish for a day or two afterwards.

Used to get some great ones from Waitrose when I lived in the UK, unfortunately they don't do them as well here in Australia.....

tesco Indian meal for 2 (just for me though:))

was shocked as how nice it tasted for a £5,got some extra onion bargies and samosas.

lasted me 2 days, loads in there for £7 in total :)

You could easily make a nice meal in 20 minutes.

Ready meal Yorkshire pudding sounds disgusting!

That's not the point of this or this thread though is it?

You can make a meal in 20 minutes but not very often one you whack in the oven or microwave and then go and shower etc.

Working at an airport and the liquid regulations and not being allowed a hob or oven sometimes I have to have one.

Agreed on curries being acceptable most of the time.
I've was very impressed with tesco finest range as well, they where actually pretty good.but you pay for it.

Lasgna and spagbol are no goes, Keats so wet, tasteless and utter rubbish.

I don't eat ready meals - They are lame & a sign of laziness

So you are in this thread why?

Tesco's macaroni and cheese or Asda's pepperoni pasta :D

Tesco used to do a great rigatoni and meatballs which doesn't seem to exist now :(

Curry ready meals are always very good and most like the real deal.

Sainsburys Thai Red curry is another good ready meal!

McIntosch Stovies are amazing.

Re. the curry chat - Sainsbury's curries are terrible, very watery, no flavour, just eugh.
