All criticism aside, the quality of ready meals these days compared to even 10 years ago is quite staggering.

Obviously it's better to prepare fresh food when you can, but there's actually some decent quick meals you can buy these days.

Any ready meal with Birds Eye or Findus on the packet is only good for feeding the dog.

Mind you when I was young, I did use to demolish Findus minced beef and onion crispy pancakes. I had some again a few months back and still kind of enjoyed them. Could have just been nostalgia I suppose. But I certainly dont feel like that when I get palmed off 'miniature' wagon wheels :mad:

Also, using the words 'Great British Menu' is an insult to our culinary history.
