What's your favourite thing on toast?

Hmm, either melted cheese or poached duck eggs.

I've never tried a duck egg, are they much different to cluckers?

I also like that Shropshire Blue cheese melted on toast.

I like to mix it with cheddar a bit, otherwise can be slightly overpowering.

Mine has to be scrambled eggs, ever since I stopped doing them in a microwave and started doing them in a little non-stick frying pan, my scrambled eggs have been a revolution. President butter on the toast, and in the frying pan.

Marmite all the way. Nice to see there is a bit of love for the stuff on here.
And can't beat a bit of cheese on toast.

Have to agree with Marmite and also Marmalade -- I really would like a bread doorstep toasted over the fire with thick layer of Beef dripping and jelly from bottom of the mug sprinkled with fine layer of salt.
The beef dripping has to be home made though.

White bread, butter, marmite and if I feel really indulgent, very strong hight quality English cheddar cheese.

I now NEED toast

Odd one but I love it, burnt toast proper burnt not just dark, butter, peanut butter and Bovril. ideally at a temp that the butter just starts melting.

1) Butter
2) Marmalade
3) Any combination of 1 and 2 you fancy

This is a useful thread as it allayed the fear of missing out on the ultimate toast topping. Have we reached peak toast?
