Whats Your IQ?

had an adult iq of 180 when i was 11

had it measured about 3 years ago and it was at 172

online tests give me anywhere from 170 to 180

unfortunately im a lazy git and have the common sense of a retarded gerbil...

168. Frankly, that's a gross overestimate. I especially liked the paragraph at the start of the test:

Although there are only 32 questions on the test, we utilize collected data to the fullest, which gives us quality akin to that of a professional, hour-long exam. A cross-referenced answer scheme, a scaling point system and time weighing all contribute to your final, general intelligence score. More information is available in our IQ Frequently Asked Questions page.
Haha, yeah right.

Edit: Hey, I wonder if anyone can help me out here. I was talking about IQ tests with my dad the other day. He's obviously a very sharp guy with good business sense, but his maths and logic skills aren't too hot. I was under the impression that IQ tests are normalized so that the average score is 100 (is this true?) My dad agrees with me on this, but also said

"I tell you, Chris, if most people took these tests you'd find that they have scores in the 70s and 80s - the national average is well below 100."

As far as I can see, he completely fails to grasp the concept of a normalized score. Am I just missing something? If anything, I'd expect people to average slightly above 100 due to people being more used to this kind of test now.

I believe on those type of tests the average is from 90-100, whereby the majority of the population will end up, as you say they're normalised hence this is where the majority should be by definition.

157 with pattern recognition of 100. I'm not sure if its any good or not, I got bored and made assumptions on a few.

did anyone NOT get pattern recognition of 100?

the IQ scoring range doesn't quite work like this

its not based on an average of the populations IQ, its based on 100 being of a normal inteligence, 70 or so being retarded, 130 being gifted etc, when the tests where developed the "Average" IQ may have been 100 or so, but now MOST people will have an IQ of OVER 100-110.

Got 154, which fits with other IQ tests I've done in the past. Still, having studied the flawed nature of IQ tests in the past, I spotted a few problems with that test, and I have no doubt that it is not exactly accurate.

I got 146... and the test tells me I might be gifted... better rush and order my detailed report!
(I did a much longer IQ tests before. When I was 13 I got 119 in the entrance test for secondary school, and just 5 months ago got something like 121 in an IQ test at work... I'd probably place more reliance on those scores than that internet test)

Just got 150 with a pattern recognition score of 100. I know for a fact my pattern recognition skiils are excellent but I doubt my IQ is 150.

I got a pattern recognition score of 100 yet my IQ score was surprisingly low (107 IQ) in comparison, if it was in any way accurate I would have a low IQ indeed for anyone who had attended university... avg. 125 apparently...

Good fun though!

i dont take online ones as they are not accurate at all.

However, i took the official MENSA test at about 12-13 and scored a total of 162, that puts me in the top 2% of the country according to them.

Hardly an accurate representation of yor real IQ. The only test you took was pattern recognition!

Lol, you're not the brighest crayon in the box :p

Only joking mate :D

I got 118, but I remember doing some other online test ages ago and it gave me a score of 86 or something.

144 with a pattern recognition of 75. been as high as 156 and as low as 130 on previous tests

rubbish. why? because it gave me an IQ of 120 and that was just from just going through and guessing without reading the questions. what it should do is give me a negative score if i get it wrong and a positive if i get it right (taking note of what i dont answer at all) within a certain time limit.

all this proves is that, im lucky :o
