Whats your worst experience of installing windows

The abomination that was Windows ME (muppet edition?)

Tried it for a couple of days but then removed it in disgust after it just repeatedly crashed!

The other week I tried to install xp on a Toshiba laptop for a someone at work. Firstly it didn't like the brand of cd I had (a supermarket brand) so I thought I would use a USB stick, so I put the files of an ISO I had on a stick and realised it didn't have the sats divers on it. So I put them on and proceeded to install to then find out that my memory stick is on its way out as it was taking ages but it got to the end... Lovely jubbly! Right?

Wrong, I installed the volume version instead of OEM so I thought ill just repair install and that will change it so I'll just put the cd... No they don't work, rewrite the image to the USB stick and do it, the option wasn't there when you select the partition to repair.

A bad day at the office...

Trying to fix a friends laptop with a borked HDD.

It was bought form the purple shirt shop with Vista Premium installed, it had a 1.6 Celeron CPU and 1 gig of ram which Vista simply didn't like.

Once I'd got the OS on to the new HDD it took nearly 2 full days to install all the Windows Updates.

The hardware was clearly not fit for Vista and so provided an unbelievably frustrating experience.

Installing Windows 95 from 26 floppies.

Then spending days begging my dad to download drivers from work whilst we waited for BT to install a new phone line.
