The other week I tried to install xp on a Toshiba laptop for a someone at work. Firstly it didn't like the brand of cd I had (a supermarket brand) so I thought I would use a USB stick, so I put the files of an ISO I had on a stick and realised it didn't have the sats divers on it. So I put them on and proceeded to install to then find out that my memory stick is on its way out as it was taking ages but it got to the end... Lovely jubbly! Right?
Wrong, I installed the volume version instead of OEM so I thought ill just repair install and that will change it so I'll just put the cd... No they don't work, rewrite the image to the USB stick and do it, the option wasn't there when you select the partition to repair.
A bad day at the office...
