I've changed all 4 wheels a few times with the jack that comes with the car, it's perfectly fine
Do you lot all have jacks made from cheese or something?

Torquing up the wheel nuts must be for the obsessive only tbh, I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it.

Toolstation have a 1/2" T-Wrench (210nm) for £15 or so, not bad.
i'd love to see how much calibration a £15 torque wrench has underwent.
I'd trust my bar over such a cheap tool.
I certainly wouldn't like to work under a car held up by one of those stupid jacks.
but i bet youve not had to get a breaker bar, 4ft of exhaust tube and jump on it, hoping the bolt doesnt snap to get a wheel off? or worked on a car where the bolt is already snapped?

my old man put new tyres on a Disco 10-15 years back, went over to france and noticed he was being flashed by lorries. one wheel was wobbling all over the place at the back
due to the heat from brakes, wheels expand and ive heard things about bolts snapping when everything gets hot
plus i love using torque wrenches. i love using them on everything
What are you going to do if you get stuck somewhere without a torque wrench?![]()

Do what you can and verify at the earliest opportunity.
