When are you going fully electric?

One of the best things about moving away from ICE is noise pollution.

People have been conditioned to think noise = better due to the technology being used. Said this many times before, experience living next to a main road and both the noise and smell are horrid, why add a version of pollution back.

In my city they have almost moved all the busses to electric and the city centre has been car free for awhile. There is definitely a noticeable smell and change to the air quality what is great.

Exactly my point. Noise does not = better.

... so that was jonny's ironic posting, on that tiktok thing, under name jonnyvtec ? not having been in a civicR, either, I'd immediately found an example

those just announce they only have a 4pot
Ironic? What are you sniffing now?

Have you really just posted a link to a Civic as though we are all morons incapable of using YouTube?

My wifes Corsa is getting a bit long in the tooth so she'd like to replace it with a similarly sized EV.

She's not fussed on make etc, only has two MUSTS.

1. Range circa 200 miles
2. Buttons/switches/stalks. She detests touchscreens & menus :)

Looking for something in the upto 3 year / 30k mile age, any tips on makes/models would be appreciated.

Budget?

Kona 64kwh ticks the two boxes

Second hand MG4 are insane value at the moment, just picked up a long range for 45% of new list price that was less than 1 year old.

You can’t get away from touchscreen is most EV’s but there are switches to turn on de-mist and heated window and volume.

Yes it’s not perfect and nowhere near as polished as my model 3 but for the price it beat any ice car I could get for the mony.

It’s literally content you hoover up about the context of a discussion where the performance mode of a Hyundai has been made to sound like the i30N in the ignition sound mode… and you send me the whoosh. Ironic really as we only ever see you parrot content. It’s literally a video I made, the name JonnyVTEC has NOTHING to do with the message.

The idea VTEC is reputed to have a nice power delivery?! Hahahaha pull the other one, there nearly as many posts on the past of me arguing the merits with people who have never driven one as those who haven’t driven an EV. Does this mean we have a Pope Brace? You haven’t driven either.

Less than £20k would be good, I'll have a look at the Kona
Nero is the other obvious choice.

For £20k there are so many options, you can even get 2022 ID.4’s and Polestar 2’s with higher miles for £20k.

2023 Megane E-tech anyone? That should get 200 miles in all but the coldest winter days.

It's the buttons that are the critical point, she will have nothing to do with touch screens or touch sensitive buttons. Good old fashioned mechanical switches are a must .

Good luck, the infotainment in modern cars is going touch across the board, it’s not an EV thing.

The Hyundai and Kia offerings are probably a good shout but they still have touch screens for many functions.
