When are you going fully electric?

.
touchscreen isn’t some alien technology that’s brand new to EV only. You hardly need to use the screen anyway when driving. Nav you can do before setting off and the heating will be on normal controls in most cars anyway.

You are looking for something hard to find and limiting car choices on a none issue.

If it was a non issue they wouldn't have banned phone use and started bringing back buttons.

Sorry but it’s quite pathetic and sad that they are putting childish pretend engine ******** into an EV. Nothing says more desperate than that and it doesn’t even sound remotely realistic in that video. SOOOO fake.

I remember doing a test drive in a Mach-E and the salesman being upset when I asked him, “can you turn of the childish engine noises, I’m not 12”.

The first setting I turned off the day I got my I-Pace was the pretend engine noises. It’s like when you put a tin can in your bike mudguard as a kid because it sounded a bit like a motorbike.

Sorry but grow the **** up.
Boring.

I want:

Mon 3cyl
Tue 4cyl
Wed Flat 4
Thu 5cyl
Fri V6
Sat Straight 6
Sun V8
Mon V10
Tue V12
Wed W16
Thu Vtec
Fri Turbo
Sat Vtec turbo
Sun Supercharger

What are you on about.
I jumped to conclusions?

I think you need a coffee or a lie down.

Again, ITS NOT NOISY ITS A SEMI RURAL place.
In fact its very much the opposite of noisy, the only real sound is the noise from the nearby A road thats probably 300M or so away.

Your assuming its a noisy yard, its not.

Jesus, some people.

You seem to need a coffee or a lie down when someone mirrors your own phrases. Jeez some people.

You implied it was noisy because they use noise to know where cars are. How do they know where parked cars with engine off are? Braille? But now you say it's silent, so you have silent ice cars picking up in the yard that you can't hear, the only sound being 300m away.

Let's not use eyes or marked spaces because you've got workers with ultrasonic bat ears in the yard. Seems unlikely this silent yard with batty loaders

I didn't imply it was noisy at all. That assumption is all on you and you know what they say about assumption.

Its quite quiet so they could hear dumb ICE drivers but not dumb EV drivers is basically what the two guys said.

I can't really go into any more detail as I never saw more than 2 cars there at any point in time. But I suspect when a 3rd turned up they would try to squeeze into a space thats not there, probably driving behind someone picking up a sack not leaving enough room and potentially putting them at risk.

What they should have done is barrier control the area and make it so only cars they are happy to have in that area are able to access it. In fact I will probably suggest that to them next time I visit and its basically far more dangerous now with very limited area where people and cars can mix.
Its only manual barriers (peds) that they are using as they still have to move palleted stuff into the area from the main holding yard.

You seem to have very bad english recognition. Noise was from cars not the yard. No silent ICE cars you silly sausage that was the point the ICE are not silent. ;)

Really, because you said the only sound is from a nearby road.

only real sound is the noise from the nearby A road

So now its both silent, not silent, noisy but also not noisy. That's a lot of U-Turns in small yard. Parked ICEs are generally silent, or have stop start.

You're suggesting the yard attracts dumb silly sausage drivers, I have to agree with you.

That they've had to address people doing dumb stuff, tells its own story and its nothing to do with EVs.

Never
You would get a delivery miles EV Corsa for < 20k although it might not have the heated seats and so on.

A Zoe would do 200 miles in the summer, you'll get a one of those that's a year or two old for around 15k or less I think.

Corsa example: https://www.arnoldclark.com/nearly-...ltimate-50kwh-5dr-auto/2024/ref/arnbj-n-38030

Looks to have buttons and heated seats and the likes.

I think I'd go MG, over than Corsa. But in fairness not heard much about the Corsa. You'd have to research user forums to see the common issues.

Yeah weirdly I don’t need Google to have an opinion based on my experience. Just wondering which car was a problem for you

Yeah, weirdly I didn't link to google...

All of them are inferior to buttons for me. I like to read up on a subject, rather than just wing it.

I have no idea what your on about now.
Honestly just give it you made a load of incorrect assumptions and now your trying to split the difference between absolute silence and low background noise because you made an incorrect assumption it was noisy.

They have had to address the problems caused by EVs as they are silent. ICE are not silent. Its really not hard.
They have been there for years, same layout, same process, no drama. Ive used them for charcoal for years, just visit more now as I have a log burner.
Its just the same as the other example I gave, a common one, people assuming there are no cars as there are no car noises in carparks.
We see it as well with my other halves hybrid when we pull away.

When your wrong your wrong, just suck it up buttercup.

Anyway your going on ignore now as you seem to be just here to argue with no clue.

Better to give a specific example of what buttons are an issue on a touch screen ?
He is giving his opinion, I don't know why people get so defensive if their own opinion differs. You quoted his post which said "inferior to buttons for me" the FOR ME part shows he is talking about just his own opinion, not stating it is fact.

Major flaw of touch screens per se . is that with RHD cars have to use your left/non-dom hand, it's lower precision makes it a pain/less-safe (imagine doing that in kitchen work)
my older parents just wouldn't contemplate it - if I was ambidextrous maybe it would be a don't care.

Have Mazda relented yet, they had said we'll never have touch screens, from safety perspective.
