When are you going fully electric?

Only issue with my Tavascan that i've found so far, is actually not the car but the app. When it works it's perfect but this morning, -6c and I couldn't pre-warm :(. It kept saying that it's in offline mode and I need to change the privacy settings in the car, which is a load of BS. Sometimes it just doesn't load the app properly and I have to close and open it again. It's annoying but literally only used to pre-warm, nothing else.

Luckily, it doesn't take long to heat up at all and no scraping required, it melts off quite quick.

Apparently I did exactly 2.0 mi/kWh on my commute this morning at -6c.
  • A few mins stationary warming up
  • 15 miles travel
  • 90% dual carriageway 60-70mph
  • B-Mode
  • ACC
  • AC @ 22c
  • Seat heating on lowest setting
  • Rear de-mist
  • Mirror de-mist (forgot to turn off)

No idea if that's good or not.
Vodafone network is down, nothing to do with the car (other OEMs use vodafone). I couldnt preheat. but i reckon it took 2 mins just from sitting in the car as the heat is instant anyway. Not sure why people preheat the cabin for 15mins. Steering wheel is so good, almost too hot in this weather.

This full charge im looking at 150miles on a charge( 58kwh). 0C or below the battery heater on with MEB. 2.8m/kwh so far. Welcome to EV winters :D

Tesla appear to be too scared to try anything that'll turn heads. Vanilla as can be.
Most ‘SUV’s in the market are pretty vanilla these days are they not? They are after the mass market after all.

That said, if the Cybertruck doesn’t turn heads (not for all the right reasons mind), I don’t know what does.

That's okay then!
Yep, probably 5 mins tops and I was off.

Steering wheel heating is ridiculous, I keep it on the lowest setting and it's arguably too warm.

Seen a few comments from Cupra owners on social media about pre warming not working properly today, seems relatively widespread from the anecdotal 'evidence' I've seen

Edit - ah, there you go, as above, looks like a network issue

I like to think my Tavascan isn't vanilla looking :P One of the reasons I chose it, far less mundane looking.

Agreed, Cupra are pretty stand out in that regard.

However, they can look a bit ‘boy racer’ which puts another type of buyer off and that’s the danger with doing something standout.
They also did a very good job of the dynamics of the car. Appeals to those who see a car as a bit more than a vessel. Which is good to have more choice for new adopters.

can it be connected to your wi-fi network at home vs voda4g ? - we have poor mobile reception (o2 worst voda slightly better) so obliged to use wi-fi calling at home,
also have to pull up a route on abrp before leaving house, but google maps can work offline.

Not to mention it's clearly dictated by aerodynamics, and it's how they're doing so well on drag coefficient for such a big car.

Think the new Y looks ok, the lights on the outgoing one gave it the fugly face.

Looks a bit BYD esque now.

I'm getting through some electric in my Kona EV (no heat pump) while it's been cold, need 2 charges per week, costs about £25 per week at the moment. £10 per week during the summer lol. ~125 miles per week.

Also the cabin preheating on the Bluelink app stopped working the past few times which is a bit annoying, usually its good 90% of the time. It takes 4 mins to clear the windows and get warm-ish so doesn't mess about and no need to scrape windows.

I've had it nearly a year I'll share my year of Tesla charging stats soon.

Got my hypervolt charger installed yesterday and car due on Monday. Kinda wish there had been a decent Renault deal at time but the e208 will serve it's purpose my basic 40 mile commute.
