When are you going fully electric?

I love the sound of a howling V engine , an EV will never match it...

But as I have owned 4 pot diesel turbos for the last 30 years what do I know :D

I'll happily switch to an EV when they match my own personal driving use.

Did my first long-ish journey in an EV this week, had to go up north (for all my sins), 150 miles each way.

I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I used Gridserve at a Moto Services on the way up near destination, had a poo, coffee and a bite to eat whilst it topped up to 90%. Had enough to go around Wakey and back down again a day later.

Meh. Doing Cornwall at least twice later this year, I’m sure it’ll be just as uneventful.

*but us ICE drivers can drive for 300 miles without stopping, all that time you have lost because of a battery" :)

On a coach holiday last week and the driver saw me looking at a charger at a services which started a conversation where he came out with every EV myth.
On the coach he tried to outsmart me listening to the radio where power had been cut during Storm Euwyn (Sp).
"How would you go on with your EV with no electricity?"
"How would you fill up your ICE with no electricity?"
"I've got petrol in it"
"Well I've got electricity in mine, when I left it on the car park it had 230 miles in it"
He seriously said this "but it will all be gone by the time we get back" :)
An OAP then chirps in "My EV has got at least 350 miles in it when I get back and during a recent power cut we plugged an extension lead into the EV and ran a light and the TV off the car until it came back on"
Sadly the driver wouldn't accept any of it :)

This is the top answer.
We've bought ICE since 1975 and last year we both decided it suited our personal use and we aren't Vegan, we're not into saving the planet or do I have a manbun and little bag on my side.
I may wear ladies undies.
