When are you going fully electric?

No, but you use those prices to tell the the seller “I have cheaper options” and haggle. Tell me you can at least be bothered to do that? ;)

I live in N. Ireland and it really is less of an option for me. But I have used the “they deliver for a few hundred quid” line to haggle prices down.

I’m rubbish at haggling - if I want something, and I see the price and I’m happy to pay it, then why bother?

If it’s too expensive, I won’t buy it. I can ask for a cheaper price, but if they say no then what choice do I have if I actually want the thing?

What I found back in June when I bought my Leaf was that the dealers wouldn't budge a single inch on price. A couple even said if you can get it cheaper elsewhere I suggest you go there then.

That’s the norm these days, there’s no wiggle room for new or used cars, at least from personal experience and what I’ve heard from others.

I do love a haggle, I can be bothered to do some things...lol
But garages are funny now, they don't seem to budge. I've walked away over a car, when they wouldn't even take £1 off!
They just say, the price is the price....

I think the internet has made people look at cras via the 'list by lowest price first' and that of course has meant that dealers need to list their cars as cheaply as they can.

They'll get 20 people in looking at a car and odds are one will pay the asking price. Some businesses these days seem to be happy to run themselves into the ground rather than budge on price.

The cheapest car might not be the nicest one, and tbh that would always be a regret for me. Most compromises I make in life trend to come back and bite me.
