Even if it saves you thousands of pounds? OK fair enough.
I don't really want to drive a 360mile round trip no. Especially if you go look at it and there's issues, plus traffic, accidents etc....
Ends up being a chore rather than something exciting.
Even if it saves you thousands of pounds? OK fair enough.

No, but you use those prices to tell the the seller “I have cheaper options” and haggle. Tell me you can at least be bothered to do that?
I live in N. Ireland and it really is less of an option for me. But I have used the “they deliver for a few hundred quid” line to haggle prices down.
That’s the norm these days, there’s no wiggle room for new or used cars, at least from personal experience and what I’ve heard from others. What I found back in June when I bought my Leaf was that the dealers wouldn't budge a single inch on price. A couple even said if you can get it cheaper elsewhere I suggest you go there then.
I do love a haggle, I can be bothered to do some things...lolNo, but you use those prices to tell the the seller “I have cheaper options” and haggle. Tell me you can at least be bothered to do that?

They'll get 20 people in looking at a car and odds are one will pay the asking price. Some businesses these days seem to be happy to run themselves into the ground rather than budge on price.I think the internet has made people look at cras via the 'list by lowest price first' and that of course has meant that dealers need to list their cars as cheaply as they can.
Exactly. Thankfully car buying isn't the wheeler dealer "hold out yer 'and, av we got a deal mate..." BS of old. Generally now the price is the price.I’m rubbish at haggling - if I want something, and I see the price and I’m happy to pay it, then why bother?
If it’s too expensive, I won’t buy it. I can ask for a cheaper price, but if they say no then what choice do I have if I actually want the thing?

@rodders £2k... You at least need to ask, get them to throw in all the services and MOT's if no price wiggle. Also if you are buying on finance and doing a trade in you might be able to squeeze more out them that way.
You said you don't want to spend £38k so don't.![]()
unless they are taxed heavily as part of a trade war i think teslas will continue to sell well over here. Their cheap charging infrastructure continues to be a major carrot imoTeslas, are we following France, Canada and probably the EU by not buying Teslas in the future?
You seen the anti Elon stickers for current owners?unless they are taxed heavily as part of a trade war i think teslas will continue to sell well over here. Their cheap charging infrastructure continues to be a major carrot imo
The Model Y is assembled in Germany so that one will probably avoid anything the EU does. Model 3 is all China though.unless they are taxed heavily as part of a trade war i think teslas will continue to sell well over here. Their cheap charging infrastructure continues to be a major carrot imo
