So I dropped the ID 7 off to VW yesterday.
Quick side story - they have me a 74 plate ID 4 and when I got in it, it came up with a windscreen wiper fault Are these cars made with slave labour with flat pack instructions or something?
Anyway, I get a call today to say “the good news is that all the faults were software related and have been rectified, you can pick it up when you’re ready”
As a reminder, here is the list:
Now, they did say that the paint bubbling was actually residue, which I’m happy about as it means it’ll stay on original paint. That being said, it didn’t look or feel like that, but I did notice it right at the end of the wash with no time to check it properly.
Seatbelt also sorted.
But I’m sure you can also agree that some of those are surely not software related. I’ll be interested to report back when I get the car back.
I am skeptical but hopeful that everything is sorted.

- Brake pedal judder at lower speed, jolting car
- Infotainment crashing
- HUD crashing
- Twisted seatbelt from factory
- HUD/front resonates/rattles with music
