When do 106's do 140?

I've seen a Saxo VTS do an indicated 140mph.

Seen a VTR do just over 130 sitting at 6,000k rpm lol

Yeh the vtr is a stupidly long gearbox for some reason, geared for around 141 mph iirc. with a slightly raised rev limit and slighlty bigger wheels, over 160mph.

Wouldnt it fall apart before it reached 130?

It was a tad jittery mind and I bottled it.
It's only doing 3.5k rpm at 90 in 5th and 3rd is good for just over a ton

I suppose a blow out in any car at 140mph is going to be pretty nasty though, although your right, it would be particularly bad in French tin can.
