When do you change tyres...

Bet that's fun in the wet.

Never on the rear tho, rears always have 5-6mm as i rotate.

Not to bad in the wet but then again i dont realy hoon about in the wet too much, Massive drop, camber and a whiteline RARB has made front tire wear rather concerning, although corner grip is immense.

How have those winter tyres been working out this winter? They must have been tat as apart from the last 2 days, i don't think i've seen the daytime temperature less than 9-10 degrees

Badly, they are worse than my Goodyear F1A so far. Hope they are better in the snow if we ever get any.

I thought the compound was meant to be better in colder temps.

I beleive only the tyre marketing departments and those who sunk a fortune into winter tyres wanted you to beleive that a winter tyre would be better than a UHP tyre when it's just a bit cold outside rather than some sort of snowmageddon.

There is a reason winter tyres were almost unheard of in this country before the last couple of freak winters.

I'm not too fussed, luckily my 2nd set of alloys and winter tyres cost me about the same as 2 new rear tyres on my main wheels.

Going sideways can be fun too :p

2-2.5mm generally. Although the front tyres on the 911 will be being replaced shortlyas they aren't a tyre that gives you much encouragement.

Just changed my wheels/tyres last week, ashamedly the Contis were nearly down to their wear indicators  Should have changed them earlier but was awaiting to amass some funds to pay for 4x Goodyear EF1A2's first.

When one tyre is approacjing illegality i'll change both on that axle unless the differance is ridiculous.

if the differance in wear between the two is ridiculous i'll fit a part worn and try to find out why.
