I knew that you had to pay the postage to give the item back but i am sure i was not meant to be deducted postage for what i paid

Is this correct? i paid £115 and then paid £8 delivery or so to send it back and got reimbursed £106 on my credit card?

Is this standard or has there been an error?

That's standard. Why should they have to keep paying postage for things you don't want?

Some places will also charge a restocking fee.

I paid postage for the item to be delivery
I then paid postage for the item to be sent back
I thought i was going to get back £115
I was given back £106 so they obviously took the postage off, and thats standard correct?

Sorry i wasnt clear with the information i give

If they didn't deduct from the £115, they'd be out of pocket, as they still had to pay to get it to you regardless of whether you wanted it or not.

what happens if they send you an item and it is different to that you expected to get? i.e i bought some new gravel for my fish tank, it was described as being fine and pictured as very fine however it is very large and therefore i don't want it but as thatsh there fault that they have fasly advertised this product do they have to pay to pick it up?
