...and you're out and about wherever you're going, do you tuck the cable under your shirt/top/etc so it is hidden?

I think people who don't do this look stupid. And also surely the cable could get caught on something and you'd end up looking even more retarded as you try and untangle yourself from the person next to you in the tube?

I make a conscious effort to ensure all cables are hidden and just enough of isn't tucked into my jeans pocket so i can move my head around.

Comments?

The ONLY exception are people who are at the gym or running and have to carry their portable music player.

I use over ear IEMs and I plug em into my ears, tighten the cable under my chin and then drop my phone down the front of my shirt, pull it out the bottom and shove it in my pocket. Unless you notice the small things poking out of my ears then it's invisible - and it's functional and neat.

So in short, you're doing it right.

I always tuck the cable under my shirt. It just bobbles all over the place if you have it hanging over cloths and its annoying as hell.

What I find weird is people that constantly hold their iPod/mp3 player instead of putting it in their pocket. Even if it means struggling to do things that require both hands.

Silly people.

Depends on the outfit i am wearing and how long I am out.

Walking from the station to work that takes 15 min, I don't bother. Going out for 3 hours into town, probably.

Yeah I run it under my top.

I agree people who don't do this look a bit silly, however they don't come close the morons who walk around CARRYING their mp3 player/phone in front of them whilst listening to music.

This. I don't hide it on the way to work mainly because my shirt will be tucked in and there's nowhere sensible to get the cable out. Although in saying that, I usually put my phone on my jacket's inside pocket and put as much of the cable as I can in with it.

Nah because the only time I use them im sat on the bus, and I need to be able to put them and my phone away easily.

You could have the cable come out the front of your shirt ;)

I have it tucked into my hoody/top/jumper, basically if i'm wearing more than 1 layer.
But if i'm just wearing a shirt or t-shirt then it will be dangling about. Doesn't cause me any issues.

Nope, only time I really use my headphones is the commute to work, which is 5 mins walk - then onto the train, change to tube and then it's just a couple of minutes walk to work.
That combined with the fact that they have a volume control on the cable, which I need access to, means there's not much point tucking them in.

Always hide it under my top unless I'm wearing a bag with a strap across my chest so I couldn't

Pretty much this. Also it's not possible to do this when wearing a dress. In that case I'll tighten up the cable as much as I can into wherever it is stored (bag or jacket pocket).

Phones. They do a great deal many more things than just play music and are multi task capable.

I think people who tuck a cord past their clothing are silly muppets, trying to justify it with some weird reasons such as; looks tidy, doesn't catch on things etc etc.

I love to strole around with my HD25 with cable out, why on earth give a damn. Some people on here really do over analyse things far too much :D

I love to strole around with my HD25 with cable out, it's simple, works and my god some people on here overanalyse things far too much :D

That's just swell, you can think I'm a silly muppet all you like.... I find it to be functional, but I'm not using the same type of headphones as you so it's not quite the same thing.
