Where are all the Logitech mice?

Its not just ocuk removing logitech stuff a lot of others have too. Maybe same reason ocuk has or maybe retailers are just boycotting them for a collective reason who knows.

I got my g400s mouse and first time i trying it today. Seems ok tho the scroll wheel is a bit noisy and when u scroll down and lift off it kind of makes a very loud click if u do it a certain way. Dunno if its normal or not. I know these mice had medicore wheels but i didnt think it was gona be like that tbh. Apart from that and the edge on the right of the mouse making me hold it weird with my pinky and the adjacent finger. Im sure ill get used to it. Kinda have to for 40 notes dont ya lol. I do like the materials on it tho, quite nice feeling.

Do wonder tho. Why some optical mice have a red led and some dont. Is there any reason other than flashy looks?

Its a real problem when you know a good product, buy it and years down the line when it comes to replace it your natural instinct is to look at the brand you know is good and solid.

I have Logitech G110 Keyboard, I paid £85 for it 3 years ago, its a fantastic Keyboard. no doubt about it.
But its getting old, I have looked at possible replacements from other brands but keep coming back to Logitech. lo and behold the new models are a rehash of the one I already have, the Keyboard in that range (now called the G510) is the same Keyboard with a facelift, it literally just has different Key surround facia on it. £100, £15 more for a new bit of plastic around the Keys.

Its not just Logitech, CoolerMaster are worse when it comes to cases.

Again I have a HAF 912+ case, I have had it for about 4 years, brilliant case but now old, looking to replace it with something fresh, I have looked right through every brand and cannot find a case for Sub £90 that is as good as the HAF 912.
So again I come back to Coolermaster, they are still selling the exact same case many years on, nothing to replace it, new stilling, some new innovations? nope! the same old same old.

You would think they would refresh their product line once (in every 4 years) to keep people like me, who trust in their products, something new to buy from them.

My haf 922 is same

Looked at new case for new build and nothing I liked more for design
So I resprayed mine

Regarding mice, ive always went back to logitech G series due to being used to the design. Ive had several G5's, a G700 and now a G500. Yep, theyre all rehashes of the same basic shape but it's the feel i like. Whereas changing to a new brand would take a bit of getting used to.

I have a Sharkoon Fireglider, also some years old now, you can see it in my GPU gallery here.

Laser, inexpensive and good ergonomic design., its big and well shaped to fit well in the hand, High DPI too and weight adjustable, good mouse but I'm thinking of getting a Logitech mouse next time round.

the only criticism I have of it is that sometimes my thumb can drag on the Pad with it and it stops the movement, that has caught me out a few times in BF4.

That's my issue too. I spent a fair bit of time deciding what mouse to get as a standard one was giving me RSI like symptoms. I settled on a MX518 and when that got old replaced it with a G500. Both of these I bought for approximately £30 at the time which I felt was good value. The £60 it costs to buy it at the moment from competitors is a joke.

Just read about this, a real shame that Logi have taken the stance with OcUk that they have.

My G500 is doing my head in with the double clicking issue, and I was actually tempted to buy a G500S which has better switches aparently. Only thing I didn't like were the price and the look of the new G series. Maybe pick one up when they go cheap and then re-case the enw mouse with the old case as I love the mottled silver.black used on the old G500.

Until then though, can anyone recommend a mouse with the same or similar design to the G500? It fits perfectly in my hand, and I'd hate something that was vastly different I think.

Sorry to hijack OP's topic :p

When did you buy it? You get a three year warranty.

When you are comparing prices of mice like Mx518 to today's mice, you are forgetting inflation. if something cost 45 pounds in 2004 for example, it would now be 62 pounds just with the additional inflation.. also, VAT has gone up too, so that adds another 2.5% at least. It is not a joke.

I do love Logitech products, I have tried other gaming peripherals, but nothing quite compares to what they make. The end-user customer service, as mentioned, was awesome as well.

Ah, now I understand why the G400 was £24~, but the G400s was £50+. A shame, but Steelseries is a great alternative.
