Where do you buy your PC games from ??

Only buy from Steam during sales, their prices for new releases are too high for my liking.

If I want a game at release then it's usually GMG or one of the other key sites that I've used, Cjs keys, Simply Games etc + a couple of others that I can't recall. Never had a problem with any of them, even the more obscure sites have been ok so far, bought a key off a Russian site for DMC (2013) for a knock down price (£17 iirc, great service, received the key immediately). Very rarely buy a hard copy of any PC game these days, still buy the occasional hard copy for the PS3 though.

Having just become the proud owner of a shiny new OC Games system I started to look and see what was out there that I could buy to put my new hardware to the test and that's when the problem started !! call me old fashioned but I do like to be able to pick up what I want and then pay for it and not the other way round !!

ASDA - No longer selling PC games ....
Morrison's - No longer selling PC games
Game all but gone on the high street so no local store any more

Downloading in some cases cost more than a retail box ( WTF )

So where are you getting your games from ?

I do use steam but not everything is on there.
Steam should be your last resort unless the game is in the 66-75%+ sale as their normal prices are a massive rip-off. Try googling the game name as most retail games you can pre-order or order from other online retailers do very good prices on the physical edition.

UK high st presence for PC games though is virtually extinct now as this is the way the high st cartels wanted it to go as they cannot have a used PC games market

Steam for stuff in the sales, but never for new releases/pre-orders because their pricing is ridiculous. GMG have been good for new releases lately, but there's plenty of competition and most of the time they activate on Steam anyway.

Wherever is cheapest. I do a quick google and forum search then buy. Most of the time its through steam or a steam code seller though.

I buy my general new releases from steam or origin if I have to. But there is a pretty cool indie game shop in Bournemouth that I buy random older games from like recently GUN and Immortal Cities Children of the Nile...

Amazon, Origin, but mainly Steam, particularly for the sales, I've got so many games in my library that need finishing or I have yet to install :D

I use mostly Steam and GOG.. got over 200 games in each of those.. every one of them purchased in a sale of some sort. And I have a handful in Origin also, again all purchased within some kind of sale.

I just buy who ever out of those 3 does it the cheapest.. in a sale.
