Where do you get your curry?

the girlfriend makes them using The Spice tailor kits. fiery Goan is our go to. they taste as good as restaurant curries to my battered senses.

ive never tried a Thai curry that ive liked, tried Caribbean at a Turtle bay restaurant and didnt like much either. tasted too sweet i thought.
do like various Indian and Chinese ones. liked Katsu too when i tried it in a pub.

When we go to my daughter's in Oxfordshire she orders in from a vegan online place, will try and recall the name as this one was next level

The gf and I are also big fans of the Spice Tailor kits. Better than takeaways in some instances.

As an Anglo Indian, I make my own. My mother taught me how to cook. Sometimes I get a takeaway from the local that is fairly authentic but that's once every few months at the most. Not a fan of "British Indian curry".

I used to frequent a place called Maloncho and they made the most amazing curries. Full of flavour and giant hunks of perfectly cooked chicken. I stopped ordering for a while for one reason or another and placed an order recently. The food which was delivered this time was a bit tasteless and the chicken was smaller amounts and didn't seem well cooked. The second order much later was the same so not been back since.

We make our own. Had a bitter gourd curry and beef vindaloo yesterday. These are recipes from my mother in law in Kerala and the vindaloo was actually cooked by her while we were there. You just can't get the same in restaurants near me. The best I've had in the UK was in East Ham where the market for authentic South Indian food is.

We eat South Indian food most days unless we happen to fancy a roast or it's a cauliflower cheese day. We're probably due a fish curry in the next few days.

Depends on my mood but I like a curry from pretty much most cuisines. Jamaican, Indian, Thai, Malaysian, Japanese, Nepalese, Vietnamese and I'm probably missing others which I've had.

I don't think there is a more holy trinity than Rice-Meat-Sauce.

Recently bought a proper rice cooker, which seems to make nice sticky rice just how i like it. Then did a (mild) chicken curry in a slow cooker. Even my kids loved it, which is saying something.

Nothing can beat an indian takeaway curry for me though, my go to is a vegetable dhansak, plain rice and onion bhajis.
