Where do you get your curry?

Is it a North / South thing? Nearly every Chinese does curry up here.
No idea tbh. I suspect it might be more popular up north, but that isn’t to say that it’s frowned upon down south per se… I’ve just never come across it.

I prefer having an Indian curry in a restaurant as I really think it tastes better compared to the same curry as a takeaway.

I have Chinese takeaway more often but it’s quite rare nowadays.

Love chinese curry

Love Indian curry

Love Thai curry

Are there any more that I can try?

I mean, if you want to eat Tim Curry then whatever floats your boat.

As if you would turn down the opportunity...

To answer the main question, I tend to make my own these days. Mostly Indian but occasionally Thai.

Savage lol, it's like eating a pine needle, more hardcore than me.

The Cardamom is there to flavour the oil and the curry, deffo not to be eaten direct.

Nothing wrong with pine needles, the tender new ones at the end of the branch go nicely with some baby tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and mozzarella.

I do also like to gnaw on whole cinnamon sticks like some kind of demented beaver though, so maybe my opinion on what is edible or not should be taken with a pinch of salt :p

I've got to say that does sound nice though, not sure on chewing a cinnamon stick though lol, but I applaud you for your efficiency in no wastage.

One of my spice recipe concoctions entails emptying out the contents of 4 cardamon pods and grinding this up with the rest of the usual spices. This gives you the cardamon flavour but without risk of munching on a pod that's floating about in the gravy.
Edit: personally it doesn't bother me if I bite into a whole cardamon pod but some others are more picky/sensitive.

Don't forget pinecones, the squirrels love em

Yeah I like a subtle taste of cardamom, but I can’t stand whole pods. They’re just inedible to me. I like cumin seeds though.

Currently there is no where around here to get a curry from (take away or sit down).

The 1 in my village closed down and the other 1 I used to go too also closed down so its either make your own or a Jar one.
