Where do you get your suits from?

Interesting, I personally haven't found this to be the case. Are you just judging from the website? My Pinks are a different class to the Lewins, which again are another class above anything from Next and the like. I've only ever bought the slim-fit range.

I'll have to check out your guys though next time I'm buying some shirts. :D
I have a couple of Pinks myself. I suppose I have just been spoiled by perfection! :D

A bit of a thread revival - but ho hum...

I've been toying with the idea of taking a quick trip to Asia to get a couple of suits made up, but my question is can you make adjustments further down the line for new suits without having to visit the store again? I don't think my body shape will change a lot by the end of the year, but my legs and shoulders should be slightly bigger than they are now and I should have lost the mini-tyre around my belly.

Slaters (Edinburgh) Good service with guys that know what they are talking about. Not like a suit from "next" given to you by some 17 year old working part time. Also Slaters are helpful if you need the suit taken in or maybe a extra inch or 2 added if you been eating to many pies ;)

Also has a goood range in price.

Why asia?
You'd be better off getting them made by a tailor over here.

I thought it may work out cheaper in he long run. I visited one in Birmingham and he quoted me £600 min for a business suit, as I'm going to need two it made sense to got the Asia route.

Maybe I should shop around some more and get some quotes.

M&S for cheap work suits.

Nicole Farhi or Donna Karan for smarter suits.

I was quoted £150 for a tailor-made suit in Seoul. You couldn't get anywhere near that price in the UK.

I'm going to be in the market for my first suit in a few weeks, I am looking to spend about £300, £400 maximum and I'd like it to last me a few years. What is my best option, go into a tailors and get one off the rack and have it altered to fit me? (I'm quite slim and I'd like for it to be quite a snug fit which may pose problems)

Any other tips I should know so that I don't get swindled?

p.s. I'm in Sheffield if anybody has any specific recommendations.

Cheers!
