Where is my mojo?

Then get another GT3? Then go to Spa. Problem solved. :D

As I said if they were priced sensibly I would, without hesitation, but 85K for a Gen 1 997 is too much, far too much as next year I expect them to be 60K. 12 months back they were low 50's lest we forget.

What about a 996 GT3? Or is that too raw? Or is it 997 and nothing else will do? I guess you don't want to compromise if you're spending that sort of money :)

Not tempted by a classic or something a bit older, rawer or more characterful?

It has crossed my mind as have things like a well sorted M400 or Sagaris, I think both of those work. I also thought of just getting a really rapid Caterham, which would sort the Sunday morning thing, but not the tour to europe which my wife and I have enjoyed in the past.

991 GTS 4. Sat in one a few weeks ago and it just seems like the perfect package, and supposedly a better drive than the GTS.

Pull your finger out otherwise you'll end up in this cycle for another year.

I think the GTS is perhaps the best 991 model, GTS 2 for me though. Need to go drive one I think, couple of friends have suggested the same...

This is bad. I think this is what driving a diesel car does to you :/

My preference is for tight, agile good handling cars with a great NA engine, which is why GT3's etc appeal greatly. I do like the R8 V10, but that is a different beast and I do like the Gallardo SL and 360 Strad but both the latter are probably more than I want to spend. I did think about an Exige but that isn't something to load up a weeks load of bags and head down to Italy in really and is too compromised. I love the look of the new one but same problem I fear. American Muscle cars don't hold any appeal, just not me at all and all are blunt instruments, if very quick.

How about something like an M3 CSL? It seems to fit your spec rather well. I know they're not the same league as R8 V10's etc, but they are the essence of driving pleasure, and along the same vein as a GT3, but cheaper.

And as an added bonus, they won't depreciate and you don't have to spend as much money to get one!
