Under the stairs 2 feet from the kitchen (handy for brews and munchies) 

I have reds. Have considered getting o-rings but one of my mates said it didnt make much difference. Maybe ill have to give it a try. It is the slamming part that is the most noisy I guess.I got that abuse also. I have the blue switches on my keyboard too which are likely the loudest out there - I picked up the o'rings that OCUK sell and that helped a bit - it took the 'hammer' out of the key depresses and now it's more just the clicks that make the noise. I think the fact that she seen me sitting for 2 hours putting on the damn things to each individual key afforded me some grace in her eyes and she appreciated the effort I went to try and reduce the noise...
It does make a little bit of difference - OCUK reckon they reduce the noise by 30%. Whether your Mrs will be able to tell the difference or not is another thing but maybe, like mine, she'll appreciate the effort of trying and cut you a bit of slack...I have reds.
