why don't you send her a email then when she tries bringing it up / talking to you about it, look to the ground nervously while shaking a bit. That way if she is persisent you know shes going to say yes if not then no rejection / relationship issues about it.
 
Cyprus would be a good place. Aphrodites Rock near Paphos or Aphrodites Bath (although this is more like a puddle) at Polis is in the middle of some breathtaking scenery but you do need to be fairly fit to climb up the top of the hill on a hot day.
 
I'm off to Milan & Switzerland on Valentines weekend, in which I will propose to my girlfriend up a mountain overlooking the Alps.

I've been seeing her for over 7 months now and yes I know many of you think I'm crazy but I'm 35, lived a lot, know what makes me happy and finally found true love/soul mate.
I've never been engaged before mainly as I've never found the right person but now I truly feel like I have.

So mate, you only live once so good luck and I'm sure wherever you do propose she'll still say "yes"

I'm sorry, you've known her a year and have only spent holidays together, which is basically called "the honeymoon period".
Also, not only are you rushing that it took you about 30 minutes to decide how and where to propose.

I see this happen all the time, I even came close myself.
We spent a year on and off meeting each other, it was really nice.
Then you live together and she turns into a she-devil.

Also I can't believe how naive you are thinking she couldn't do anything bad, can you tell the future? I don't know anyone that can.
Goodluck though, but you sound like a young person for the first time hooking up with a girl and is head over heels about her, mistaking lust for love.

Oh, and you don't really know her, seriously spend more time together.
How long does a visa last, 3 months? Try get that far.
 
Talbs, I think you should consider various asset sequestering strategies. You have to accept that there is a level of risk involved in this; she might view this primarily as a marriage of convenience.
