Vegas for me, im not a big fan of gears of war, the guns feel a bit underpowered.

Same here - I usually play on the easy or normal setting which is usually hard enough for my liking. Some games get pretty tough on those settings in the later stagesVIRII said:I don't like a game to be TOO hard personally. If it starts to frustrate me I'll just turn it off, I just want to sit back on my sofa and mooch through a game, I don't want to redo the same section 30 times just to get to the next bit.

slambo69 said:you can get killed by 'blind enemies' so much because you cant see them or reach round to shoot them fast enough. It is not a very polished game either, way too many bugs and the AI is rubbish.
Also to the poster who claims the guns in gears are underpowered, I shot someone 3 times in the chest with the highest powered assault rifle in the game yet he was still running around at which point I cursed at the screen.
In Gears you just have to be skilled to use them, waiting for the right moment to pop out and get someone with a shotgun or time headshots just right is key, its also a game about movement, moving and taking cover at the right times, in rainbow you can just 'camp' at th top of the ladder and the terrorists will be jumping over each other to climb up it.
If you dont like doing the same bit '30 times over' then avoid Vegas because theres just so many scripted moments, but couple that with the totally erratic enemy and team AI and you will be doing parts at least several times over.

Viva Pinata
No seriously though GOW is very good but not a game to be playing with young children around, and although not quite as bad both Vegas and COD3 aren't exactly 'family entertainment'.
Out of those 3 mentioned Vegas IMO is the better game, with GOW a close 2nd, but I'd still go for Viva Pinata as it's so damm addictive..
i really wish they'd bring a mouse and keyboard device to the 360 as getting used to a control pad feels un-natural
