Which 7?

looking for anything USB, keyboard related in BIOS.. nothing.

WINFAST BIOS if that helps..

That was a pretty good spot actually Monserrat. Beg/steal/borrow a PS2 keyboard or in my opinion just buy one. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and I've lost count of the times a bog standard PS2 keyboard has bailed me out.

Very occasionally a resume from sleep will bum-out on me forcing a hard reset, which is not usually a problem but it drops me into a prompt on next boot to either start windows normally or attempt to resume from the borked saved state. Unfortunately the default option is attempt to resume, and with no keyboard you're stuck in a loop.

Long story short: always have a backup. :D

I have one too. Although I hate having to crack out the crusty old Dell keyboard from under the bed all the time!
 
just plugged in brand new ps2 keyboard.. as soon as plugged in lights come on them off.

It doesnt even work in windows let alone trying to "del" "esc" whilst on boot up.

this is just not my week.

Tried F1 or F2 to get into the BIOS? :confused:

Not trying to be patronising, just aware that it doesnt always give time to read what key you have to press with some systems..

def "del" or "esc". doesnt even work in windows..

It's not in the mouse port is it (unless you have a dual mouse/keyboard PS/2 port)? Just checking all things here to rule everything out.
 
do all versions of windows 7 allow you to vpn from them? ie, to create a vpn connection from within W7 which would allow you to connect to your company?
