Which 780ti has the lowest fan noise when gaming?

I use a custom 1-1 ratio fan curve on my wf 780. I used a phone app decibel metre to measure noise when gaming. At 2 feet from the case it was reading at 37db while playing bf4.

Gratz on the new card

Worth the wait?

Yep I think so I payed about £30 more for the kingpin over the classy 780 ti and I got a free backplate installed.

36db is roughly what my 7970 is pushing out under load with the Arctic cooling Accelero Xtreme cooler.
So I guess 37-38db would be ideal given the performance gain from upgrading to a 780ti

I have the MSI 780 Ti Gaming, it is extremely quiet under all conditions at stock fan profile. It is not only the quietness that is important but the type of noise and what type of noise irritates you. It gets a little more complicated as the fan frequencies may pick up sympathetic vibrations with other components and that includes your case so that is a bit of pot luck. The MSI is certainly set up for and achieves a very low noise level and is the quietest air cooled graphics card that I have owned (and I have had the same case for over a very long time)

Got a pair of reference MSI 780 Ti's here. They are nice n quiet even under max load. Then they just purr with the sound of awesomeness.

With the latest Nvidia cards you can just pick which has the best price tbh. Any of them will run cool / quiet and awesome regardless of which cooler they have.

Gaming Edition and Direct CUII are both very quiet.
The GE is probably a touch quieter but runs hotter.

EDIT: Though I'll warn you, the VRM's on the ASUS card run very hot(~100C), especially when overclocking.

I managed to pick up an evga 780ti superclock for a very decent price. It's the one with the titan cooler. Fingers crossed it's not that loud. If it is I will just have to sell it on.

It ain't loud but can be tamed even more as I said to you below the OP, AB/Precision and add a Fan Curve Profile.

Is it easy to setup a fan curve profile?
Also how easy is it to over clock? I have been using AMD cards for a while now and it's my first nvidia since 3dfx days lol

Heres a shot of my own fan curve profile to give you an idea. Im using msi afterburner, works the same as in the link for precision posted by jh30uk.
