Which brand tubing do you use?

That test means very little.. The tygon plasticiser problems only happen at 40c and above.. If your loop is running at 40c you have some pretty major problems. Even with a room temp of 30c you are going to struggle to get a 10c delta with decent kit...

normally im at high 20s water temp sometime 31 32 ish when room is really hot and no AC is on so it may have touched 35 on a peak but hardly ever i guess.

thing is my masterkleeer was good for ages then after the other day was cloudy anyway going to try xspc then tygon non plastisicer if need be

how ever its a bad job if they leach at that temp tbh at all pretty crap stuff people r making id say

id rather pay 10 quid a metre and get something that will stay clear than 3 quid a metre and have probs

haha i have just bought some more tygon :)

It is dear at £10 a metre

ive a feeling i may have to down that route but at least if it stays clear whatever you trow at it so to speak itll be worth if

see how i go with the xspc first if not im going to have about 18 metres of spare hose all boxed up and in need of a clean

 Where do you work!? The Sahara!?

:)

No but with the windows and doors closed, and it being quite hot last week, the rigs just pump out hot air raising the ambients slowly but surely, the aircon had a fault and until I could get in there the AMD monster would trip its shutdown temps.

Had to back off the overclock on the gtx 470's on the other rig but that one is a i7 setup and is less susceptible to heat, as long as it stays under 100° its ok :) The big AMD rig shuts down around 70°C

Just Replaced my coolant today, was using XSPC 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD (13-19mm) High Flex Tubing : Clear and was using the Primochill PURE Performance Coolant 32oz : Blood Red it wasnt very red for a start and then after about a week it went a pink colour. I thought it was just one of those things, so left it until i needed to change the coolant (about 12 months) i drained the system expecting to see pink liquid only to find a relitivly clear liquid and this ...

Dont know what caused that but ive cleaned out the components and used new tubing, i went with the same stuff as i ordered twice as much as i needed the first time and instead of Primochill i used EK EKoolant Premium Fluid for Watercooling 1 Litre : Blood Red

so we will see how that goes :)

Did you have anything else in your loop?

thats seems like all the color has come out of the liquid and stained the tubing then

thats so bad

gonna fit my xspc over the next week or so and test that.
will cut my masterkleer open and see what reidue is inside and take pics

its milky but i want to see if its just plastisicer or its to blue i dont think any color has gone out of my mayhems tho

seems like all the color on yours has gone into the tube..

He said his coolant was blood red so its more likely to be plasticizer build up which the dye got stuck too. Tubing looks like its got some pink mayhems pastel in there now :D

yup looks like it bad that the dye came out tho as he said his fluid is now clear that means all the dye is in the tupe or plasticiser annoying as ive just receive 9m of xspc. looks more likely im gonna be purchasing tygon P free.

pink pastel yuch

i swear only last week everybody was recommending xspc tubing as the best... now in the past few days I've read some problems with it.

well if i do get probs im going straight for the tygon no more messing with other stuff seems like it lasts a while then decides to give up the ghost

Well I have had my new machine running for a couple of days with Masterkleer clear tubing. To be honest it looks ever so slightly cloudy already which concerned me, except it doesn't seem to show up on photos (otherwise I'd have posted those).

Does the mere presence of liquid inside the tube change it so it looks a tiny bit cloudy? I'm using EK clear pre-mix coolant if it makes a difference, from seeing it in the bottle it looks like it could give a slight clouding effect.

Basically, if it's clouding then I'm worried for my setup as it's only happened after a couple of days. It's my first watercooling build so I'm watching everything like a hawk and temps etc seem OK.
