Hi,

I will getting the following shortly...

AMD Opteron UP 170 Dual Core San Diego 2.0GHz 2MB Cache (Socket 939) - Retail (CP-148-AM) 323
DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-013-DF)
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3 (GE2GB3200BDC) (MY-046-GL)
MSI GeForce 7900 GT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-068-MS)
Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-025-EN)
Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower (Socket 939/754/478/775) CPU Cooler (HS-015-ZA)

I was wondering what the best case would be?

I would rather go for better cooling as opposed to low noise BUT if possible getting both would a bonus?

Thanks

can you upload side and back pics for this case pls? pc7+ that is

how is it on the cooling and noise front?

Stock fans are too loud at 12v, but fine at 7v... much like any other case with 2x120mm it can made very very quiet if you have the patience to do so.

Edit: Some pics

as you know the eclipse is 30 quid more 20 + 10 for the door....

Is that £30 justified tho? Is there really that much of difference or is more the design issue?

Is the pc7+ silghter smaller than the eclipse? Just wondered if it was slightly crap inside the pc7+ for my setup?

I have put much more in a PC7, it has a lot of space in it.

The eclipse is bigger, but maybe not entirely worth the extra money, although it will be 2/3 degrees cooler in the summer, so 34 instead of 36 :p

(I am taking the differences to extremes, the PC7 also has a aluminium front :D)

In theory it should pull some air over the back of the graphics card, but you need fairly high CFM fans to do it in a PC7.

LOL I love how Yewen trys to turn it into something technical :D

Actually because it can be something technical ;)

Add a sheet over the top and funnel it into the rear fans airflow and you can create a wind tunnel over the back of your graphics card ;)

I did it in my Cheiffy Scoprio using one of the back fans for it.

So :p you meanie :D

- I can't find a excuse to why one of my cases has no PCI plates, other than its 5 less screws to put in though

thanks rakiri for the pics....

thanks for the advice everyone....

so your all basically pointing me towards the PC7

Rakiri can you put a fan at the top above the arctic cooler....lol just saw a space so was wondering....also I notice its screws and not sliders for drives etc?

Rakiri is that third fan 120mm fan enabled near the graphics card? if yes doesnt it have to be fixed on to something? does it really make a difference considering you dont have a side panel? also I was told you should never keep your pc open due to dust issues?

You can fit a 90mm fan to the top

Drives use screws, but it really makes little diference when settings it up

The fan near the graphics card is a 90mm, it isnt a feature of the case! :p I am using it to cool the northbridge because the little 40mm fan on it was very loud.

I Do have and use the side panel, I simply removed it to show you how it looks inside, as for never leaving the panel off it really doesnt matter unless where you live is very dusty. (I always leave mine on anyway)

I better leave it on then as I live in London :D

So does this case take 90mm mainly

Nope...read the cases spec ;)

It takes 120mm at front, 120mm at the back and a 90mm at the top which is optional. The 90mm I have in there is just to cool my chipset.
