The buttons are plastic though :(

£8 worth of bulgin's is a worthy investment!

Aluminium buttons, oh yes!

any chance you could shed some more light on this? the one thing i dislike bout my pc7+ is the buttons! and lightring ones sound uber!

aaah ok, i googled and found some more info includin pics of one on a black pc7+, look very nice, will have to get me some

how does the pc7+ differ from the akasa eclipse 62? extra ports etc?

Can I fit an akasa pro control unit to the pc7+ I think yes but just wanted to clarify....

Does the pc7 have front usb ports?

I really cant decide...and I need to order one asap....

I dont think I can change the buttons on the pc7+ looks a bit too techie for me

If you can live with a plastic front then the Eclipse is the better case.

The PC7+ has front USB yes, changing the buttons is not to technical, quite easy :)

xirokx , the PC7 does have front USB connectors but they are poorly placed in my opinion, right at the bottom of the case. fine if its on a desk but if its under one like mine then its a bit of a pain

Ok yewen so what do you think I should go for?

If money is not an issue?

However that said I just wanna get a deal dont we all

If money was not a issue, and you were willing to spend a few hours tweaking the cooling then the Lian Li v1000+ is a great case and super value at the moment, I paid £180+del for mine :(

The PC7+ will do you fine, run your system cool, and be nice and quick to setup. Nothing to flash but a solid case that will get the job done, and for the next system. Looking like new for years as all Lian Li cases do.

The Akasa Eclipse will be the coolest case, not much of a looker but can cool a little bit better than the v1000+ and is easier to setup. Will show its age a little more due to the plastic front but it is the best cooling case out of the box I have mentioned.

Personally, v1000+, its what I have so I say personally properly there! PC7+ is awsome value for money, would run my main rig in one if I did not like the v1000+, personally again.

The Eclipse has a plastic front, that is its drawback, the v1000+ takes 3/4 hours of tweaking to get the optimal cooling if your running anything non-stock. The PC7+ is smaller, but still big enough not to cause issue than the other cases.

The choice is yours, but out of those three choices, none will be the wrong one. Basically, which looks best to you :p

(v1000, v1100, PC7+, PC007, Eclipse)

The p180 is a outsider, I do not rate them that much but others do and could be another consideration for you.

the pc7+ only has 1x 12cm fan and 1x 8cm fan.....were as the eclipse has 2 x 12cm and 1 x 9cm I believe.....

Sorry when I said money was not an issue I meant its either between the pc7+ or the eclipse.... Why do so many ppl go for the eclipse then?

That what the ocuk page shows, they seem to be shipping the PC-007 though that is a revised version with 120mm fans front and back.

Or atleast thats my interpretation of what Yewen has said in a few other threads.

The PC7+ has 2x120mm and 1x90mm (not included) the eclipse has no fans but can have 2x120mm fitted.

Eclipse is larger and very well designed so the cooling is slightly better, although it is ugly (the revised mirage is no better) and costs more

Yup, you need to email or phone OcUK to get what they are currently shipping.

The Eclipse is more expensive, cools slightly better but it does not look as nice.

The PC7+ is cracking value, but the eclipse is better if money is not a option and you can ignore the plastic front.

well spoke to OCUK just now who kindly advised me that they could not be 100% certain I would recieve the pc7+ with 2x 120mm fans and 1x 90mm fans....

See what has happened that their supplier/manufacturer has packaged each style of case (old n new) in the same box so OCUK cannot open each up to find out what I will be getting....(That said I dont know how many queries they get of this nature so practically speaking how long would it realistically take)

Which is a shame because after all this talk I would really like to get one.....

On a personal note when I was working in purchasing n supply if someone made such a request then we would go out of our way to establish and differinate between new stock and old stock....If anything this is actually good stock rotation/management within the warehouse and more importantly then your customers know what they are getting so great for your customer service aswell.....

Oh well......

Thanks for your help guys :D

is a bit of a poor situation to be in, had i of known that I wouldnt hav ebought my case from OCUK, luckily i got 1 with 2 x 120mm, had it have turned up with out them i would have been mighty peed off. I was still a litttle dissapointed i didnt get the very latest one with the blue LED fans, but i can live without them, i had to replace the stock fans anyway as they are LOUD

if they cant guarentee it mate then buy elsewhere, simple as that. might spur them on to sort their stock issues out

Simple, send it back if it is not right under the 7 day distance selling act.

They advertise the inferior model so it could not be sent back on that, but you might not like the look of it. ;)

The odds are you will get them right first time.

Just nowhere I have seen is giving a assurance that its the 120mm 120mm for lower than £110, which for a PC7+II is a RIP OFF!
