Which colour to paint projector wall?

You can mix up some projector paint. There is a recipe on avforums for it. I'm about to paint my PJ wall soon, but got the paints a while ago. It's normal Dulux paint, with some added metal paint stuff mixed in. There are different shades of the Dulux depending on whether you want deeper black or whiter whites.

Here is the thread: https://www.avforums.com/threads/di...-finally-found-for-the-uk-black-widow.772879/

And the paint codes from the original post:

1) autoair aluminium fine
2) s0907-y70r

Although with photobucket being silly, most of the pics no longer work :(

As it sounds like a dedicated room, then definitely recommend a screen and dark matt paint for the walls. I got a 10ft fixed screen for £150, which I am sure isnt as good as a $$$$ screen, it was a whole lot better than the temp measure of projecting on a white wall.

Also the change from plasterboard only walls to dark matt paint was very noticeable, especially if you tried making me go back to a lighter wall now! So highly recommend picking a darker colour.

Centre speaker is behind the screen.

So he could have gone bigger...lol

Just caught up with this conversation here, yes AC grille on the ceiling and centre speaker is behind the screen. At no point have I thought about getting a bigger screen and I think its quite funny that you think I should have.

I've just made some changes to the room, door is now black as originally suggested and I'm in the process of setting up a turntable so I'll maybe update my original thread with some new pictures once its finished.

Mate, Don't get me wrong it looks fantastic. Like I said further up I always go to extremes. Sometimes to my downfall. If I had done the same as you I would have gone bigger which could very well be wrong. If the screen is too close to the side walls that would introduce reflections which would probably distract from the picture.

I would have been wrong!!!

I have a converted garage (it was a double garage and its been extended out the back for a snooker room. Then converted again into a granny flat) I'm turning the double garage into a dedicated Cinema room and the back into a games room and bar. I think what you've done is fantastic and I'll certainly be taking inspiration/pointers from your set up.

:) - I did think I may have gone for too big a screen as the build was progressing - however I think it is just right for the room size.

Would be interested in seeing what your build turns out like as I built my room on top of my double garage.
