Which Console, Argh!

If you must get a console now, get a 360. But there looks to be a lot of sweet games by next March on the PS3, so you might want to wait. On the other hand, there's already a lot of sweet games on 360...

Well, due to the lack of pc gaming and not finding it fun anymore (Dont play MMORPG's anymore). I was hoping to be purchasing one in about 2-3 weeks.

Do you have a link to a list of PS3 games being released?

I also just read below about rumor of the Elite being shipped in august, if so it would be sensible to wait.

Problem with the PS3 ive seen is its graphics problems and unable to handle light conditions (Saw a side by side comparison of the same shot same game kinda thing on about 10 different ones)
 
ive said this in a previous thread and had no reponse - i dont understand these 'comparisons'. all of the comparisions i've seen show the ps3 to be washed out, poor colours and poor black levels. NONE of that is a problem on my ps3. infact its producing the best picture ive seen from my lcd
 
I love the PS3, but if its gaming thats your main priority, the 360 is where it is at for the time being, online integration is great on it too. It was my first console for several years, after mainly playing games on PC and i have to say, havent had as much gaming fun in as many years as i do on this. Great machine.

Sure, I was just linking you to the one I was linking my opinion too. Have to admit, the difference isnt life threatening, again I didnt notice these at all (and neither did you) when I play :)

I'm not talking about my information, but I cant see you getting any more useful info from any other members.. Your wasting good time when you could be gaming :D

Go buy the 360 and have done with it :)
 
PS3 All the way for me, the games are slowly coming now, aslong as your a patient person it will pay off in the long run, I keep saying this but the PS3's future is a bright one.

Xbox is way too unreliable by a long way (I had one for about 6 months, was great while it lasted) - I wouldn't touch another one of those with bargepole, and the Wii looks fun but i'm a bit of a loner gamer, I think the wii would be more fun if you have your mates over a lot.

PS3 has built in wi-fi and blu-ray which were also big selling points for me, ps2 backwards compatibility, well built, looks great, I'm well happy with mine.

I guess your better off looking at the up-coming and current titles though and seeing which console is getting the games you want.

The only game thats really persuading me to go for a 360 is Forza 2 (Love it) but all other titles I like are on both consoles. It would be a more sensible choice to go with the "Better Built" console with Blu Ray / HDMI but im a weird one so who knows what I will go buy later :p
 
360 has the better games right now, and for the next 6 months or so it seems.

Get the 360, PS3 wont come into it's own for a while yet.

Just prepare yourself, if you go with the 360 you might spend a lot of time on the phone sending your console back and forth for repair, in another post I mentioned one guy who was on his 12th 360, now while some people don't mind this hassle, i'd rather poke needles in my eyes than go through all that :)
 
Get a PS3 and fold for OCUK :p

360 = loud

360 = liable to break.

PS3 = less games but it is a year behind the 360 and developers have said that games havent come close to stressing the system like F&H does, so lots of scope.

Short term = 360
long term = ps3

Less trouble in the long run.

Will save you money in the long run, after all the xbox live subscriptions you have for at least 1 year. All the other extras you should get free with the xbox you have to pay for. O yeah i remember its choice! Expensive choice!

Its a lot quieter, my PS3 is quieter than my Wii!

The first party games are stunning and show great promise for what is to come.

Blu-ray- i got casino royale free from sony, i didnt get anything free from microsoft except anger that the console crashes repeatedly.

Don't get me wrong i like playing games on the 360. The only reason is to play on xbox live with the guys here and mates etc. I just don't like the way Microsoft laugh at the competition and make a poor product themselves. Steve Ballmer laughing at the iPhone anyone? Watch a few Jungiantheology videos on Youtube about that. I don't particularly like microsoft as a company either.

The 360 was once a pleasure to play for me as i knew no different but now the PS3 is here its somewhat tarnished and been outdone. A Mate and i were huge 360 fanboys before the PS3 was here and now im not.

360.

My PS3 and Wii are hardly touched. The PS3 looks nice in a shiney black doorstop type of a way, shame i've not really got anything much to play on it (roll on the release of Super Stardust HD, this week hopefully). When i do fire up the PS3 its mainly to play PS2 games, God of War 2 and TR: Anniversary. Not really the best use of an expensive next gen console.
