I have had to order my next upgrade parts from somewhere other than O/C as they never had the MB in stock that i wanted , and i have learned from the past if you get issues with a new build it is always better that you have purchased all the parts from the same supplier so that they cannot blame another part / supplier.
Anyways moving along the place where i am buying from mostly seems to sell Corsair ram , i had originally picked this Corsair memory for the 2700x and the asus prime x470 pro, with my plan ofc looking to Overclock the 2700x.
16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-24000 (3000), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 15-17-17-35, XMP 2.0, 1.35
Will this ram work well with the above amd set up ?

Edit : i also forgot to include that i will be adding a m2 drive to the build if that effects anything

You should have zero issues running that Corsair kit on a 2700X at it's rated 2933/3066MHz, had it been a first gen CPU/board it may have been different but you'll be fine, M.2 drive will not cause any problems at all. :)

Imho you need bit faster ram. The Teamgroup as Gibbo said is good one working even on the Ryzen 1 series. You need something to be doing 3200C14 if not better (At same timings).
Shame gskill doesn't make any more the 3600C16. Perfect ram for Ryzen because it can work as 3200C12, 3600C14, 3866C14 and 4000C15.
Had it running at 3600 last year with the 1800X when everyone else was failing to even boot at 3200.

My Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200Mhz CL16 NEVER ran at 3200Mhz with my 2700X, most i got was 3000Mhz.

This stuff just runs on auto out of the box @ its advertised spec..

It even boots and passes Cinebench @ 3400Mhz though i never got around to tweaking it, 3200Mhz is fine for me right now :p

Wish i had bought it sooner tbh :)

Yeah. The Team Group ones are good. Got a pair for my brother when he sent him my old 1800X. Put them on, selected the profile in BIOS and no issue what so ever.

But not those you posted but these ones

£150 and can do 3200C14 by manually tuning them.

Well looks like i will have to be trying the Corsair ram as my order has now been dispatched , or i could just not open the ram and return it then order some team group ram from here , but then that will be a problem diagnosing what parts to rma if i have a fault after i build the PC. as all items are not bought from the same place.
decisions , decisions .....

Corsair RAM comes in three variants,Micron(ver3),Samsung(ver4) and Hynix(ver5). A mate bought some Corsair 3000MHZ C16 stuff recently and it had Hynix single ranked modules, but it will be a lottery with Corsair IMHO.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I'm planning on buying a 2700 and pairing it with the Team Group Vulcan RAM you quoted in this post. You say you can manually tune to get 3200CL14, can you remember the settings you used or is it the usual ymmv? Cheers

Google for the Ryzen DRAM Calculator. It’s very easy to use, it just takes a bit of time.

For ryzen 8Pack team group or gskill as gibbo says. Corsair is really not the memory with the best compatibility on ryzen at all.

I also recommend what 8 pack recommended, i have the 8 pack ram and runs with no issues on my ryzen 2700x at 14-14-14-31 @3200mhz.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £148.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

All i have to do is select the memory profile for 8 pack's ram, no need for manual setting using a ram calculator.
