Really:eek: I like the fact its all hand made and none of this machine made stuff you get now that take a split second to produce.

My little boy wants a cuckoo clock, although I'm not sure I do at £500.

You can get plastic cuckoo clocks that look like the real thing and are dirt cheap, these are made in china apparently

I have just received the clock and it looks stunning in the flesh. Here are some pics

Now I just need to get it up on the wall.

Where's the cuckoo?

/edit - I see it, little tiny thing at the top. For one that size and price, I'd expect a bigger cuckoo!

That was quick for a made to order, hand built cuckoo clock. Them Germans work well fast :D

It must have been already made Im guessing, as it should have taken 2-3weeks. I only ordered it last thursday.

I like that. :) Can you switch off the music/chimes?

Yes it has a night shut off lever on the side to silence it. But some clocks silence themselves between 8pm - 9am, but not sure if mine has a automatic position setting on the lever or not.

Here is what my clock does on the hr

and on the half-hr it just cuckoos once.

I have to wait till Sunday for my mate to put it up, as I want it on a plasterboard wall. I'll post some more pics when its up and going, might even post a vid too.

i was scrolling down and i was thinking, am i the only one that thinks they are all awful?

:D

Each to their own I guess.. I might be old fashioned and Im only in my 30s:p but I think cuckoo clocks are the best looking clocks out there. A cuckoo clock is more of a ornament then a clock if you think about it?

It will be a nice upgrade to my small 8.5" cuckcoo clock that Ive had for about 8yrs now

I have an identical one in my dining room, it's over 60yrs old and belonged to my Granddad...needs a little work though as it won't run for more than 10 hours at a time.
