Gigabyte-Gaming , Do you know when will you send the cards out to OCUK ?
I would have to check with our sales guy, but I think the G1 should be shipped next week during computex.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. C'mon guys, let's do some math here before pulling out the pitchforks.
8 pin means the card gets delivered 225 Watts (150+75 from PCI-e)
TDP for GTX 1080 is 180 Watts, how much would you need to overclock to take 45 more watts?
Now, if you want to discuss power delivery. I believe our G1 has 8+2 phases compared to the 5+1 on the founders, this is something that indeed matters.
I guess we have to wait for the reviews and see if they back up my claim.
Remember, two 8/6 pins say pulling 150 watts split between them is going to be more stable and cleaner power than one 8-pin maxed out at 150 watts. Two power inputs also lets you split power with one going to the memory and card functions and the other going to just the core.
Because it's not. In theory it would be (And with large loads etc) but on this level with the power that will be supplied it is negligible. Why is it cleaner? Genuine question. It seems like you'd assume it would be, but I can't think of a reason why it is. It actually sounds less elegant than 1 power source.
Can anyone tell me which Nvidia 1080 is the best to buy? And if you were me and don't bother overclocking then would you just buy the cheapest option or is there a particular card that would be worth paying more for?
Also, do they all have LED lights? That looks cool.
Thanks in advance.
People love LEDs and sales suggest Asus got it spot on.![]()

Do they all have LED effects? Can anyone tell me a breakdown of each card and how which card has what type of LED effects?
