Is it supported though? Im guessing it should be really, you couldnt pm me where you found this?
Supported yeah

I've read tonnes of stuff about OCZ and ASUS not getting along, and considering OCZ is probably OcUK's main brand, kinda sucks a bit

Well if you want the absolute best, then you have to pay the premium, Intel Extreme CPU's are the perfect examplebut I couldnt justify over £100 on 150 or so mhz.
brill cheers matey!
Yea it suck ocuk dont sell them! asus dont officially support ocz no, but iv had my reaper ram in two different boards and both havnt had issues guess im just a lucky one![]()
Did you buy them? I haven't yet but if you did let me know how they perform when they arrive![]()
What's the deal then w3bbo? . . . what speed was you able to get some DDR3 running then on the p45 system please?Forget trying to get 2000mhz on 3 or 4 series Intel chipsets. For that you will need 790i as posted above.
Found some more for £166.80 it has silver/grey heatsinks though and i dont think its the extreme version however it has lower timings of 8-8-8-20 and 1.9v instead of 2v. Not sure if it has EPP but dont need that if using a intel chipset.
I saw the post before you editted
I'm not sure about that silver stuff, but I guess you read it wrong so lolz
That stuffs for intel chipsets, cannot garanteed to run on the 790 chipset
