I can't make my mind up on which docking station to choose from.
I can only see 2 on OC the Akasa & Icy Box ones.
The Akasa is £28.99 the Icy Box is £37.99 but does include USB3 tranfer speed, something I'm not really bothered about.
I have seen several others around
Freecom Hard Drive Dock Pro This one also offers IDE/SATA attachment and can be purchased for £34, this doesn't include the molex or ide ribbon which you need.
Another make I have noticed is from Startech, which I see Overclockers have just started to sell their products. The StarTech USB to SATA IDE Hard Drive Docking Station comes with all accessories including the molex connector & ide ribbon and can be purchased for around £38.
I know we all still have molex to molex and the odd ide ribbon and also a few ide drives about the house but some might have binned the ribbons so paying an extra £9 on top for the bonus feature of being able to use an ide drive could be worth it over the £28 for the Akasa.
Anyone had any experience with any of these items above and which one would you choose if not?
I wouldn't mind overclockers selling this one if the product is reliable.
