Yes but i read various reports that my asus board won't be able to overclock it nicely due to chipset limitations/fsb wall

Yep, bought one for £75 myself as a stop-gap before next gen stuff. FSB limit on my board is holding back my E6300 and I've just watercooled so I want to muller this thing. Happy clocking

SL9S8
Core Voltage: 0.850V-1.3525V

Looks like the E6600 with sSpec SL9S8 has a slightly different vCore req than the SL9ZL, both lower and higher?
