Hello everyone

As you probably all know (or at least the Oblivion fans among us), Oblivion is almost upon us! It is going to be an utterly fantastic game, one which looks set to even bring non-RPG lovers to the genre. I am looking forward to many elements of the game, particularly the open-endedness of it all, but I have to say that the thing I am looking forward to the most is to be able to experience the Radiant AI at work. Bethesda have the uncanny ability to make things work exceptionally well in their games, they always have, but this is something totally new for anyone and I am most interested to see how it changes the playability of the game.

What are you all looking forward to in Oblivion?

The physics among other things. I've never played a game where swords seem to properly clash and actually knock people back.

Yeah from what I've seen on some of the movies, the physics engine looks amazing too. Being able to cast a paralysing spell, among other things, on an enemy, watching them fall helplessly to the floor, or watching their bodies fly all over the place when you cast forceful spells. I don't think it'll ever get old :D

I hope that Oblivion is as memorable and funny as Morrowind was. I will never forget the day I was walking around outside one of the cities and suddenly someone falls out of the sky and lands at my feet, dead. I laughed so much when that happened, especially after finding out it was him tampering with magic that caused that to happen. Hopefully there will be more of that sort of thing in Oblivion :)

I have absolutely no idea which feature I am most looking forward to as my knowledge of it is next to nothing, never played an ES game before - and don't really know what to expect other than it being large, with nice graphics.

Looking forward to it :)

I'm looking forward to that moment you take your first few steps outside and look out at the horizon. An exhilaration; a feeling of youth, of being born, because there's a huge new world, full of possibility.

I hate you people!!!

I was not planning on getting this game but after hearing you all rave about it on here i'll have to trade in PD0 this friday (it is out friday, isn't it?)

it is yea

I blame UltraExtreme and his marketing skills on selling this. I'm sure he's used some kind of mind-control on people to go out and buy it!

Yeah it's out this Friday and I would say it will easily become the best game of 2006, without a doubt. Bethesda have been working long and hard on the game, and they have managed to bring a lot of uniqueness to the genre in the past. Oblivion is now them redefining the genre yet again. You will NOT be disappointed with this game (if you are, you're an alien. that's a fact :D)

No there's subliminal messages in all the screenshots. UltraExtreme is just another victim.

Im looking forward to just the total freedom to do what I want, Im going to be a mage and make custom spells, a big area fire blast spell which I will launch on unsuspecting towns folk, Mawhahahaha

hehheeh your all wrong, its just gonna be a great game, only EA use cheap marketing tactics (although i have been wearing my persuasion +4 boxer shorts so long now that they've hit the level cap and gained some new abilities)

What am i looking forward to in Oblivion?? being there.

Just witnessing the massive world .. sitting on a mountain top looking out at the view.. wandering through some forests picking up mushrooms for some potions.....smashing an enemies face in with a big arse sword... the usual.

Sitiing on top of a big hill, and watching the sun rise, and fall then seeing night appear. I do this in every mmorpg I play and I just love immersive games with a built in weather system. Makes the whole experience very real.
