Which finish?

This is why its a less than easy decision, and the latter is probably what'll happen. If the ideal minter shows up, great. If it doesnt, never mind.

Well if that day comes, I bet you would get a fair few people on here interested in buying your car, maybe even me ;)

Yes but obviously in 2-6-12 months time or whenever I can take the nice wheel out of my car and put it into whatever is next?
I'm obviously being thick so please humour me. Won't you need both cars at the same time to do that? In which case you'll either be part-exchanging and have to agree with the dealer that you're going to do that (and be using a dealer which you don't seem to be a fan of, other than for AUCs). Or you need to buy the new car, swap the wheels and then sell the 530i. I'm not having a dig, just monumentally confused.

Yes.

I can't see me trading it in. For a dealer, it is simply a high mileage 8 year old 5 Series. And therefore worth 12p.

I happen to dislike the aluminium trim and prefer wood - I dont like the idea of silver stitching.

Lack of ally would make the silver look silly anyway. Dimpled with colour stitching it is then.

A touch of timber does give a solid look to an interior i'll agree, i've got a set of exec doorcards (with peugeots plastic wood) waiting to go into mine once i stop using it a tip run wagon.

Personally I'd go for perforated with black stitching. Msport coloured stitching isn't really to my tastes, looks too 'busy' if you get me. And perforated simply due to thinking it looks better.

I take it the rest of the stitching along the seats and such is black ?

Manufacturers are always looking for something to break up the homogeneity of their dashboard materials, and they always skip passed one option which will always look good.

Cover the top in Alcantara. Maybe the wheel and other parts too.

Perforated, because then there's at least one similarity between yout E39 and my Suzuki Swift Sport. :cool; :p

Place on the 'Bay called Royalsteeringwheels :)

You'd be better placed sourcing a Sport wheel first, though, as you probably have that awful SE one. The padded Sport wheel is so much nicer :)
