Which fluid ?

Any of the above, just hope you don't have to deal with Mayhems CS...
and past experiences on here (most will know what im talking about).
Anyways, I would try and avoid them, just grab some distilled water, silver kill coil and biocide, and if you want to add colour get a concentrate. You should be good to go

I was trying to steer away from that but this is exactly why i was wondering why people use them. Awful customer service and its not just Jay2Cents its all over the internet. Understandable if it was just a bad member of staff they could get rid of but when its the bloody owner of the company with the bad attitude there is no hope.

When the fluid changes colour or separates, its user error, nothing to do with bad batches or chemical mix up, nope, never mayhems fault. You can accept products going wrong from time to time, but when the owner blames you, and only you, its a insult.

Mayhems Distilled water if you don't want any colour.

Ah to do a slander video for the views = dat youtube money.

Like nearly every product on the internet only people who have had some sort of bad issues speak up. There's loads of us on this forum alone who have had 0 issues with Mayhems gear and had great CS.

I've had no issues with Mayhem CS, to be perfectly honest it's one of the best out there.

Alright there are a few drama's at times, however:

Free Service

Free tour of facility

I've seen several people with issues of their own making (not cleaning properly etc) and pastel splitting and Mick has sent them free replacement fluid at a minimum to resolve their issues.

While true I havent had a problem with their fluids, Jay said nothing bad about them other than he wasnt using the pastel fluid anymore because of his issues with it. He didnt tell anyone not to use it or that it was bad. Mayhems fault afterwards for such childish comments which no doubt will have lost them some.

And as Deathjester has said they do have a good side aswell. But still.

I like Jaytwocents channel and seeing that video seems to make him seem fair. Mayhems have a tendency of coming on here and getting overly defensive/offensive too.

Seems totally mental to **** off someone with such a huge youtube following.

I mean they have to of done SOMETHING good or else they would be ****** to be honest... I only found out today it was the owner of the company that talks to people like ****, that surprised me lol

I have been watercooling for over ten years now and the only clear coolant to mess up my loop was mayhems X1 premix, after 4 months of use my loop turned cloudy and I had to tear my loop down and spent a fair bit of time cleaning my blocks and rad. This was with Primochill tubing which I have never had any issues of leeching before and when I rebuilt my loop I used some of the same batch of Primochill tubing with different coolant and had no issues.

I thought I would try mayhems x1 after seeing it being discussed on forums but I ended up binning the remaining few unused bottles and I wont go near the stuff again. At the time I messaged Mayhems and with pics of the loop but never got any reply.

For a premix I use XSPC EC6 clear which was known as ThermoChill previously and I have never had any issues.

I'd seen about this on Jaystwocent's channel, didn't realise there was a little discussion about it on here.

I like his videos. They're very informative and well-filmed. He does annoy me sometimes as he gives off the vibe of someone who knows a lot about various scientific disciplines which may be applicable to his builds (e.g. thermodynamics and fluid science) when in reality he is a layman. He can also be quite abrasive in his comments (which he admits).

You can't deny the good things that Mayhems has done, I've personally bought a pastel coolant from him and it is running 100% fine in my current PC which I am typing on now. The examples of great customer service from him are out there for all to see, but so are the not-so-good examples.

His behaviour here is pretty terrible tbh, much worse than that thread here a few weeks back where he was so defensive about his aurora ingredients. It's nice to know that the CS experience can be great from him (them?) but I will certainly avoid them if I can in the future. Too many incidents of bad CS where he is more than happy to not only blame the customer but then attack them/direct ad hominems to them is really, really poor form.

He has hired someone to do his CS now. He won't be doing it himself as he has said he takes it too personally and then lashes out. He realises it's a mistake too late and then has to back track which he doesn't want.

I have seen him in both lights (although with me he has been nothing but exceptional, seriously, he has sent me so much stuff to help me out I can not thank him enough). He realises he has a problem when he sees negative feedback about his products and he does try and help as much as possible. Sometimes though he messes up. This is why he is stepping back from social media and forums to concentrate on what he does best, figure out new fluids for us.

you can make steak at home but you don't go to a restaurant to tell the chef you can make a better steak than him.

I'm sure Mayhems are well aware of what they need to do to improve. lets all be adults about it and move on eh :)

Hes created a great business but has made some absolutely massive mistakes towards customer feedback.
