I'm after a new hard drive for storing my games on, I currently have a 500GB seagate drive for my gaming drive. But now it is nearly full and I'm looking to get a bigger drive. Normaly I would be looking at getting a SSD, but they are to expensive for the size I need. :(

So I have been looking at these 1TB drives, Western Digital Blue, Seagate Barracuda or I was thinking of sending about £20 more and getting this Seagate SSHD

Which would you go for and has anyone got the Seagate SSHD and do you think it is worth the extra?

If you're looking to spend £60 odd quid on a SSHD, why not put in the extra £15-20 for an SSD?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Crucial BX100 250GB SSD SATA 6Gbps 7mm Solid State Drive (CT250BX100SSD1) £78.98
Total : £87.68 (includes shipping : £7.25).

Also, what games are you playing that fill up a 500GB drive?

I have several flight sims installed and Skyrim, plus other games like L4D, Evolve, CS:GO. which have filled up about 400GB and I also want GTAV when it's out, which is about 65GB. So I thought I would buy larger drive and especially now games only seem to be getting bigger.

I did think about getting a SSD, but I want a hard drive bigger than 240GB and a SSD's bigger than that is just to expensive for me at the moment.

for the extra £21 you can get the WD green 2TB drive to make sure you have plenty of space in case its ever need but it depends on your budget really.

The Green drives are to slow for what I want, it only runs at 5900rpm. Compared to 7200rpm of the others.
