which HDD

Hey im making a new build and i want 1TB of space, but was wondering should i get one HDD, if so which ones are good, or should i go with multiple and have some kind of RAID level

Ideal case, and avoiding RAID, get a Velociraptor for the boot drive, and maybe WD Black 1TB as a secondary drive.

could i not just use the 1TB drive as the boot drive?

Yes you can, but you'll notice the speed improvement using the raptor as the OS drive. Depends entirely what you're looking for.

so when i install my OS i just do it on the velociraptor but then store all my files on the 1TB secondary drive? if this is all im using the raptor for why are they all around 300GB in size

I think you'll find you can get a Velociraptor in 74GB and 150GB sizes too.
